Re: I'm Buying a House!!!

I'm sorry about the house, Renda. I share, in a small way, your disappointment.

I know there's been times when I've been terribly disappointed over something that didn't go through for us. But trust me, you get over it quickly!

Something else as good, or better, will come up. There's no reason you won't still be able to use the rugs, etc.

Oh yes! Keepers for sure!

You know that my daughter's first house bid fell through after the inspector did a run over - cracked foundation and the air conditioning unit needed replacing. She was disappointed, at first.

Now, they found a nice house, in a better location and will be paying $300 less per month than the first bid.

Me too!!! And when you find the exact one - you will already have all the little things you want to add. That's the fun of it!

My daughter and her husband purchased all of their furniture and everything else these past couple of years, squared away some debt, getting ready for their house.

Now, they have it. After their vacation in California, they will be ready to start moving in!

This is so funny. My husband put some deer antlers in our son's room. He hung his hats on the antlers. I just repainted and took the stupid thing down. I had them on the kitchen table when my husband came home from work.

I said, "You can put that out in the shop and hang some of your tools on it!"

He was offended.

Renda, I'm disappointed with ya too, but as you and the others have said, God has something else for ya. I share that same viewpoint - if God ain't in it, I don't want it!

Too often we as humans try to MAKE something happen, and then want Him to come along and fix it when it was the wrong thing to begin with.

Oh girl, you are so right. Sometimes we just need to leave it alone and let God do what He does.

Re: I'm Buying a House!!!

Okay, so it's really true that God always has something better for you!

I saw a house at lunch today and just loved it! So, since it's a great deal for all that it has to offer - I made a verbal offer right there on the spot.

Went by after work to make it all official and found out a couple hours ago that they accepted the offer!!!!

I'm closing July 23rd barring the home inspection goes well!

Pictures posted later in the thread.

So many great upgrades in it - - granite counter tops - - upgraded lighting fixture - - brand new carpet in the bedrooms - tile and hardwood floors!

Whoohoo!
