Hmm... Could be b'cuz peanuts are not nuts, they're legumes...?
I did NOT know that! Interesting.

Re: chocolate; I only eat about 1-2 ounces at a time and that seems to satisfy me. Milk chocolate? Well, if I start to eat it, I won't stop... for a very long time! LOL I avoid it at all costs.
hehe! I feel that way about Godiva truffles. The price keeps me in check, though. One truffle from the Godiva counter is $2-$4.
Something else I always feel like I can eat huge amounts of are Krispy Kreme donuts. When they're hot, one donut feels like a bite, LOL!!!! And 3 or 4 bites...you've had 4 whole donuts!!!! Goodness!
We have Krispy Kremes once or twice a year.

Good foods for me are anything high in protein, low in sugar and low carbs.
I can't handle complex carbs at all, and stay away from them completely. The exception seems to be spaghetti noodles, and perhaps it's because I don't eat enough of them to cause me problems, but rice, oatmeal, and cream of wheat are out!
Potatoes aren't bad either, but again, I think it's because I cannot eat that much to cause a problem.
I cannot eat any kind of breakfast cereal from Special K to Captain Crunch.
I eat lots of cheese and meat. Yogurt, for some strange reason, doesn't agree with me at all. I can take a couple bites and that's about it.
I no longer have problems with reflux, so thankfully, coffee isn't an issue anymore.

I've never tasted a Krispy Kreme donut. I hear they're good though.

Have you tried Greek Yogurt?

I can't do regular (sweetened) yogurt, but I can do plain yogurt, and add a bit of fruit or honey. I also like cottage cheese with fruit. A friend of mine made homemade yogurt, and I loved it, even without anything added. Totally above-and-beyond flavor, when you compare it to store brands.

I think it's strained yogurt - the whey maybe...? I'd have to look it up. I'm pretty sure it's sugar free as well. Very thick. It's pretty good. I buy the full fat, plain & add my own sweeteners/fruit.

Here's an odd one for me...peanuts are disagreeable, but almonds or walnuts don't bother me.
Peanuts and raisins absorb the most toxins from the pesticides sprayed on them. Which could be why peanuts are disagreeable. It is recommended that people eat a diet that is 80% alkaline and 20% acidic. It would be interesting to see how many of the foods on your bad list are acidic. The American diet is more acidic than alkaline. Walnuts are acidic, while almonds are alkaline.
As long as I stick to whole wheat, high fiber, higher fat, lower carb foods, I feel great. Eating sugars & starches makes me feel groggy/tired and weak.
I eat a higher protein, lower carb diet, with carbs being whole grains or fruits and veggies. If I have white flour or sugar, I end up with reflux and a cough.
All I know is this, Missy B...I ate some leftover Papa John's pizza today for lunch and the right side of my head itched and was hot, plus I had a headache for a couple of hours.
Didn't have any of those things last night when I chowed down, so I don't know if it was the warmed up pizza, but it only started after I ate.
