It is true that few find life, few actually enter into the LIFE OF GOD, even believers, few actually enter into God's life even though they will eventually go thru the fire of God and at that time finally enter into LIFE spoken of in the verses you quote.
How many even OP's do you know that have entered in? Though they be one steppers or three steppers, many have not yet really found true life, the Life of God. Therefore, their lives in this world is a waste, depending on drugs and all kinds of worldly survival methods, "their works or burned up, though they be saved, howbeit by fire". Destruction does not necessarily be "endless torment."

Not difficult at all since He used the analogy of Stars and People in speaking to Abraham. You and I both see what we want to see: I see God as actually doing what He said Jesus came to do. "I come not to condemn the world...but to save that which is lost." Traditional religion says He came to show the world how sinful they are, so that He can send most of them to endless torment.
"JESUS CHRIST THE SAVIOR OF ALL MEN, ESPECIALLY THEM THAT BELIEVE..."

Crajak the problem is NOT in the Saviour the problem is in those who reject His salvation. God is a gentleman He will NOT force Himself on any who do NOT want Him.

Rather than go to the word to see what God is and form their beliefs accordingly, they instead use humanistic concepts, emotions, feelins and philosophy to reject the God of the bible.

What, for crying out loud, is more humanistic than a god that is all powerful, all knowing and all loving and all merciful, that creates billions of humans that are brain damaged by sin, then because they don't find the "narrow" way that is obscured by dis-unified believers and corrupt, sinful leaders, he then throws them in a fiery pit either to annihilate or to torture them for billions of years??
Which is the God of the image of sinful man, my view or religion's? I find the true God of mercy, the holds man accountable, yet provides an escape from this fallen world, destroys evil, sin, death and all that opposes His ultimate purpose.

Some do walk away from religion, but folks do not walk away from GOD, if they have ever really known Him, it is impossible.
The scripture says there will come a day in which: "...all will know Him from the least to the greatest...and in that day the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the seas."
We simply are too shortsighted (thru a glass darkly, that means we don't see clearly) as to the ultimate purpose of God!

That is a very jaded and incomplete understanding of the reality of the world. By your words you are saying that every human being that has ever lived has had a clear and understanding exposure to the gospel. This is very clearly not a fact, God will not condemn someone to endless torture for something they clearly did not and could not understand, due to the fallen world into which they were born. They will however have to face a process of purging and cleansing by "our God, who is a consuming fire. He will consume the dross and chaff, but rescue the gold, silver and the wheat.

Thank you for your thoughts. I try very hard to base my belief on what the scripture presents.
