You're not going to get Jesus Christ on the ballot so you better resign yourself to voting to prevent a much more grave scenario than a Romney Presidency: an Obama second term.

Deacon, There are other candidates in the race, there are more states that haven't voted. I would appreciate getting my American right to vote for my candidate before the media and everyone "favoring" their candidate tells us to drop out. We don't have to.
And I would much more prefer to go for a Brokered Convention. Mainly, because even though Romney is the front runner, he has only received 42% of the votes. That means that 60% have voted against him. Romney's NRA speech, yesterday, sounded like Clinton and the audience applauded at points they agreed on, but they weren't received all that well. Most gun owners don't trust him.
Let the process work and please don't try to manipulate the system.
I never said I wouldn't vote for Romney. I said that I won't support him with my money or my time. When he gets his full delegate count, the race will be over. Until then, let's allow the system to work.
As Santorum has stated, the media made it difficult for him to raise money calling the race for Romney. Too bad the American people rely on the media to think for them.
Hillary and Obama fought it out until June of '08. If Romney is such a great candidate, you shouldn't have to worry about him losing. And if he loses, it might be a good time for the Republican Party to finally admit they are not a Conservative Party and restructure, if they can.

Re: The numbers are NOT with Mitt
I just received this link. This article is amazing in that we sat here and saw this happening. I was especially surprised to have the writer mention Brit Hume. I remember listening to him and thinking, "You are pushing the election for Romney."
Now you can see how Romney has really turned us off. The "inevitable" is extremely insulting to us as Americans.

Has FOX News taken sides in promoting Romney as the GOP nominee?
Soon Romney became the "inevitable" candidate as Newt's candidacy was increasingly undermined by FOX. According to memory of this examiner, there were at least two occasions where if Gingrich and Romney gave a response to something Obama said, Mitt's words were highlighted while Newt's more brilliant insights were not given any mention. He was treated as though he had completely dropped out of the race.

Obama Holds Electoral College Edge
"An Associated Press analysis of the presidential battleground finds Mitt Romney likely has 188 electorate votes in states that are either solidly Republican or leaning Republican while President Obama has 242 electoral votes in safe Democratic or likely Democratic states."
"That leaves 104 electoral votes in states that are purely tossups: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia."

Re: The numbers are NOT with Mitt
This article succinctly lays out what is happening this election cycle. It is an important read for every Republican.
Quote:
The Republican Establishment's Strategic Blunder
It has been apparent for over a year that Mitt Romney has been chosen to be the next Republican nominee for president. He is next in line and has the track record and inclination to slow down but not reverse the downward spiral in which the nation finds itself; but above all to fall in line with what is expected of a Republican insider. Perhaps coincidentally, he has spent many millions of dollars hiring consultants and beltway pros, and has the fundraising capacity and personal wealth to keep on employing them. Thus he is the ideal candidate of the Establishment.
However a major problem has arisen. The machinations utilized in the past (with the exception of Ronald Reagan who was not the Establishment's choice) to maneuver the primary voters into choosing the previously anointed Mitt Romney has now come out in the open as the awakened silent majority is no longer willing to be fooled or taken for granted.

Would be nice to have a candidate of leadership material in 'either' party....but sadly we do not. This is the state of our nation.

I saw Fox news refute this the other night by showing the number of times Newt has been on or featured on Fox news vs Romeny and I believe it was more than two to one.
Newt has lost so much credibility with me for the way he has acted in this campaign. He is moody, grumpy, childlike. I read where he said he would be either on or watching CNN because they were fairer than Fox. That is so absurd it is laughable. I used to respect Newts mind a lot even though his moral character is demonstrably subpar but this campagin has diminished him in my eyes a lot.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Of course Fox News is going to address this issue because they are getting emails and calls from people who see what they are doing. I read the comments online every single day.
And the issue, which they skirted, is not how many times Newt has been on. The issue is what they have been saying about him when he is not there. Brit Hume, especially, started the negative campaigning against Newt. You don't see it, because you are a Romney supporter and wouldn't notice
Rick Santorum was also right when he talked about Fox News and the media shilling for Romney. He is also right when he said that the media pushes the narrative a whole lot more than people realize. And Santorum is also right that the media made it harder for him to raise campaign funds because they have called this election for Romney a long time ago.
Again, Fox addressed the issue because we have contacted them. Enough people contacted them to make it enough of an issue to address. So, please. I am around people every day that address this matter. Fox is in the tank for Romney. They have become the voice of the Republican Establishment and I don't believe they realize how or that they have arrived at that place.
And, please, even the Democrats have spoken about how the Romney camp has manipulated this election. I posted a link that went over what they did in every state, thus far. He is not uniting the party with this behaviour. But, as has been written, the GOP will, more than likely, have their way and he will be the nominee. Gingrich has even said that. But, every candidate, because of the way the election cycle has been set up - proportional state and not winner take all in every place, they all have a chance until the full count is in.
Romney has lost ALL credibility with me for lying about Newt in Florida. Notice the date on the link. Romney knew and still lied about it. What else will he manipulate and lie about when he gets into the White House. He's flip-flopped so much, you never know which way he will land. Well, you know he will land where ever the advantage is for him. Joining the Rifle Association right before his first presidential bid. Whatever.

Good for them!

Conservatives unite to block Romney’s preferred delegates
The votes showed that while Romney is confident that he has all but won the Republican nomination for president, Colorado conservatives are not ready to give up the fight.
