I'm not sure that would be worth it, though. I think I'd rather live in a tent and have my space.

Re: Perfect Climate, where is it??

20 years ago a friend of our family moved his family to Oregon close to Venita - about an hour inland, because "it is the best place on Earth". I visited him a few years later and it is wonderful. The Ocean rarely allows freezing temperatures... mountains, huge evergreens, waterfalls etc.

They seemed to have quite a few wet drizzle days - but very few big rains.

Probably not. But we had a chimney fire in San Jose, back in the 80s, so that should be encouraging! They need you!

Re: Perfect Climate, where is it??

Well it was about 82 degrees here today! Warm breezes, clear blue sky, and absolutely no freezing stuff falling from the sky. Now they are predicting a very active hurricane season for Florida this year...but for now the weather is perfect. Come on down all you folks that are shivering in your boots!

Let's talk about those mosquitoes and hurricanes...

Mosquitoes are a bother but we use repellant. Hurricanes are more of a bother. Since we moved down here we have dodged the bullet. Key to survival ... be prepared and ready to leave if need be. With hurricanes you have an idea that they might come your way.. now earthquakes you have no clue, tornados again no clue. I'll take my chances with hurricanes over the other possible disasters anyday. JMO. All my windows and doors are wide open tonight....gotta love it here!
