Nope. Not until Jesus comes.

The delusion that "abandoned property laws" that seize property with no compensation, concentration camps for millions, and an apartheid government funded on the backs of American taxpayers somehow reflect America or American values is amazing.

The Arab Police either adopted a passive attitude or joined in the riots. British troops were called out, the police were disarmed and order was finally reestablished. In April 1920 Arabs rioted against Jews during the Nebi Musa festival.

On May 1st, 1921 “Arabs of Jaffa murderously attacked Jewish inhabitants of the town and Arab raids were made on five Jewish rural settlements; the disorders were suppressed by the police and military forces. "On May Day, 1921, Arab mobs attacked Jewish residents of Jaffa and stormed the Zionist Immigration Center, killing 13 persons. Again the military forces had to be summoned to replace the unreliable Arab police. The disorders, however, spread. On the 3rd May Hebrew colonies at Kafr Saba and Ain Hal were looted. On the 5th May the village of Petah Tiqvah was attacked by several thousand armed Arabs in semi-military formation, and was saved from destruction only by the arrival of several squadrons of cavalry. On the 6th May Arabs besieged Haderah and attempted an attack on Rehovoth. In these disorders 47 Jews were killed and 146 wounded, mostly by Arabs, and 48 Arabs were killed and 73 wounded, mostly by police and military action."6

The Balfour declaration predated this and was the start of conflict in that region.

http://zionism-israel.com/Balfour_Declaration_1917.htm

Demographically, these conflicts were between people native to the area and foreigners moving in. Seems the property grabs and displacement of the people who already lived there, still ongoing, predated this conflict as well.

In-Migration and Demographic Transformation: Palestine in 1882 had a small, native, and migrant religious Jewish community of roughly 24,000 among a Palestinian population of nearly 500,000. There were several waves of politically inspired immigration into the country. The first occurred between 1882 and 1903 and totaled about 25,000. The second, between 1904 and 1914, brought in around 35,000 immigrants, which resulted in a total Jewish population of 85,000. The third wave between 1919 and 1923 brought another 85,000 immigrants, mostly Polish and middle class. The December 1931 British census of the country showed that of the 1.04 million people, 84 percent were Arab and 16 percent were Jewish.

If you move somewhere, take something from someone, and start using it, then you cannot claim "self-defense" while you are "defending" your stolen property. Defending and supporting the actions of those who steal then claim "self defense" when the people who were robbed fight back does not reflect America, American principles, or American values.

i sure agree. we are all deluded, Scripture says. No one moreso than he who thinks he is not deluded. This is the only benefit of a more 'global' view, to me--that delusion may be illuminated; our opinions can be tested against other citizens of the world now much more easily, and hypocrisy made more plain.

Re: Benjamin Netanyahu addresses Congress today

Both sides in that conflict have taken wrong paths. America became great based on a set of principles that we want to cast aside now for political expediency.

America can and should stick to those principles and apply them equally and to everyone or we can hold no moral high ground. Right now what we are supporting reduces our place in the world.

Re: Benjamin Netanyahu addresses Congress today

well, i can't help but believe that the seeds of our destruction were sown in our founding, and have just revealed their fruit now. We were amply warned what would happen when the Masons/banksters got control, which i guess was obvious even then that they were never going to stop trying...it's like trying to resist the mafia in Sicily c 1900, more or less.
