They keep using this "plurality" argument against Trump. Funny how that same argument is not used against Cruz. I'll take someone who has a plurality of 45% over someone with just 25% support any day.

Where did you get 45%? Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Try 37%. Which means 63% are? That's right! Against.

Ben Shapiro had a better response to the Cruz/Kasich alliance when he addressed the big goober Mike Hucksterbee.

Cruz, Kasich join forces to stop Trump. I wish they wanted to stop Hillary and much as they did the Republican who is beating both of them.

Considering you joined forces with Trump to help stop conservatism in your own party, shut up.

Are you referring to polling numbers or actual primary vote averages?

But face it. Had he won 49.99999% of primary votes and Cruz had won 10%, you'd still be playing the "plurality" card.

Trump is 50% in the latest polls among GOP voters. Obviously many who previously did not vote for him now prefer him to be the nominee.

So joining Trump is "helping to stop conservatism"? Please. That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard considering the GOP establishment that has spent the last few decades trying to stop conservatism is now "backing" Cruz.

It does sound dumb to those who don't understand what really made America great in the first place.

This is my candidate of choice. I have supported the best candidate. If American doesn't want him, it doesn't change a thing for me. Ted Cruz is the best candidate to come along in decades - hands down.

Opinion: What Ted Cruz is really like

. During the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Ted’s first concern was for the safety of his staff, whom he later invited to his apartment for a prayer session.

Ted would create jobs by fighting for free markets and individual opportunity — and against special interests. In the early 2000s, in his first major executive role, Ted led the Federal Trade Commission’s policy office.

In South Carolina, Ted fought for the right of dental hygienists to clean the teeth of poor school children in the face of the dental board’s “emergency regulation” that sought to reduce competition. In New York, Ted fought for the right of individual gas stations to offer customers better prices, and against a law that would have forced them to charge customers a “minimum markup.”

Ted even challenged the legal profession’s monopoly on the law. Ted encouraged the American Bar Association to allow non-lawyers to provide quasi-legal services at real estate closings, thereby reducing closing costs for lower-income home buyers.

During the presidential campaign, Ted has continued to fight crony capitalists who use the government to make money for themselves at the expense of others. In Iowa, Ted put his entire campaign on the line by speaking out against an artificial ethanol mandate that advantages a few corporate interests, while raising food and gas prices for consumers around the country.

Ted Cruz is the whole enchilada. The media has misrepresented him. This allows you to know something about those who oppose him - they are not as interested in protecting the US Constitution as they are in, say, balancing a budget. Because if you protect the US Constitution - first and foremost - all the other issues line up handily.

PO - Cruz is the best candidate. I do not know that he is the best candidate in decades, but he is the best candidate in this election.
But, it is very rare that the best candidate gets the nomination, much less wins the election.
An uninformed electorate has been and will be the death of this country.

The GOP establishment sees what made this country great as an obstacle to their power base. They are currently backing Trump.

So, what does your statement mean to you? Being pessimistic, dump the best candidate in the race for the one that has the highest unfavorables? Not happening. Win or lose - not happening.
