PO, our centerpiece was a plastic bowl that we found at Hobby Lobby. We took that and filled it with the colored flat glass pieces from the Dollar Tree, then stuck the kitchen tools in it. Then we put all of that on a glass cake server (thus the pedestal) with some green and red tinsel wrapped around it. Around the cake server we wrapped a length of white tule. And then we put Christmas cookie cutters all around and several gingerbread-man statue thingys.
I loved the table that was done in pinks. It looked soooo elegant!

I zoomed in on the centerpiece but couldn't tell if it was glass or not. I thought - WOW - if that is a glass bowl, I want it! LOL! I've gotten rid of a lot of serving dishes. I just don't do as much anymore and I don't have the room.
And zooming in again, I could see you had the Gingerbread men "thingys" (lol) and the cookie cutters. It was a great idea, girl!
I thought all the tables were done the same. What a surprise to know each was done individually. So, you had one person in charge of a group table?
Everyone had their special touch, that's for sure. Just a really fun night. I want to have a party!!!
I was thinking of hosting a ladies prayer tea next week, but I just had new Stainmaster carpet put in and I'm not ready to have a heart attack. LOL! Should I do it?

No, not really. Mostly political cartoons. I've deleted a bunch.
I dragged out all of my Christmas magazines, that I save every year, and found a recipe in Midwest Living from last year. It was Sweet Potato Rolls. I made them yesterday using my bread machine - yummy! My son loved them! Eating the leftovers with roast for dinner today.
As I was flipping through the magazine, I found an article highlighting Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha, Nebraska. It says that they have a Poinsettia Show which boasts 5,600 poinsettias on display! WOW!
Now, we need Michael Phelps to drive over there and take pictures. No people, just flowers, please! It looks very awesome, from the magazine. Do it, Michael!!

Re: Recipes for a Ladies Tea. Help??
Next week we go the entirely opposite direction for our Christmas celebrating, PO. The tea was a nice, semi-formal, almost elegant affair. Next week we have our annual Progressive Dinner and White Elephant Gift Exchange - where anything goes!! That is an absolute blast!
This Sunday is our kid's Christmas play during church. After the service, we have 3 ladies making different types of soups, a bunch making salads and a bunch making desserts. Everyone is being invited to stay for lunch. Never done this before, but I'm sure it will be great fun!
I agree, PO, we do need to send Mike Phelps over for photos of the poinsettias! I'm sure that is stunning!

Re: Recipes for a Ladies Tea. Help??
We have 2 trees this year. I have my Christmas Village in my dining room. I need to find a place for my teapot collection. I am starting to collect snowmen/women/family. I have my reindeer in a rocking chair that plays, Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer.
