Re: The REAL Reason CONS have left or rarely post
All the trinitarians I know acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and God. They acknowledge Him as God manifested in the flesh. Wonder what that makes them?

No, you are dealing with that premise, and painting with a big bad bill brush.

I am not even discussing the merits or lack of merits concerning baptism being salvational. What I am saying is that the onesteppers here on AFF give the excuse that some do not see Jesus name baptism. But that means that the Holy Ghost did not do its job in leading these folks into all truth.

I don't believe the one stepper exUPC churches emphasize Jesus Name baptism enough. Not like the so called PCIers of old in the UPC did.
It is as if since they don't see baptism as a prerequisite to salvation they no longer emphasize the correct biblical method when it is done.
In the case of my church we only baptize in Jesus name but it is not emphasized enough in my opinion.

They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Like I told someone on another thread, God will respond anywhere people have faith in Him. His presence anywhere does not mean He endorses what is preached there.

StMatthew, I do believe that water baptism testifies to our salvation. But to make one think that they must be baptized to be saved takes grace out of the equation. This is why some do not see water baptism as some Apostolics do. They read such verses as 1Peter 3:21 which lines out that water baptism saves or delivers by giving the answer of a good conscience towards God, and removes all inward doubts and disputes.
Not everyone is going to believe in a works based salvation. I do not. Some people cannot be baptized, and some are baptized as a testimony to their faith, and I will not kick God off of His throne to tell people who is right and who is wrong when it comes to the salvational efficacy of water baptism.

So then, God can dwell with Belial then?

It just is no longer worth the effort. Honestly, I think if it came down to it this would be the answer that most Cons that left would give you all. It just ain't worth the fight to defend apostolic doctrine on a forum that is for apostolics.

StMatthew, I have seen it first hand. So, in this, I know what I speak of. So, instead of dancing my friend, just answer the question. If faith is what causes these people to see the miraculous, why does God honor their faith in the so-called false Jesus?
