Iran isn't giving speeches about the need to defend itself. I haven't heard or read that Iran is being threatened or are afraid of being invaded.

What you hear from Iran is the opposite. They're the bullies. They're the one's making threats.

That's why they cannot be allowed to possess a nuclear bomb. It wouldn't be used for their defense, it would be used to do what they've wanted and threatened to do for years: wipe Israel off the map.

I don't think Iran is a dictatorship. Even if they are, they're not interested in expanding their dictatorship.

It looks like Israel and America are bullying Iran-- telling them they can't have a nuclear weapon when it is within Iran's own resources to have one.

That's only been said once and even then, there could have been an issue with the translation. Seems like I read something that said that now famous quote wasn't translated properly from the begining.

The premise of the remark was the same, even if not quoting verbatim.

Ahmadinejad quotes a 1980s Khomeini speech saying- “This occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the arena of time.”

And Ahmadinejad says, in 2005, speaking at a ceremony honoring the late founder of Iran's Islamic Republic - "this origin of corruption will soon be wiped off of the Earth's face." He also calls America the US Satanic Power.
