You tend to have a lot of empathy for others, I see a big heart. You feel drawn to care for others. It will fulfill your desire to be serving a higher purpose. You also have many spiritual questions about God. I also see a church with open doors. The church has open doors... C'mon down to this altar."
However, if done one on one... people want to criticize? Since I'm a house churcher... individual prophesies are quite common.
I wouldn't. Anyone can say those words and make a hit in a good sized group. Psychics do that all the time

Sorry y'all. I believe we need to be willing to get out there into the deep water. If yer scared... feel free not to. But I'm feeling drawn by God to experience greater spiritual realities than what I've experienced to date.

I don't know who is being insulting but the problem many have is HOW and WHERE you "explored it". While others are not so sure that IS a spiritual reality.

And if it were inspired of the Holy Ghost... would you not be standing in opposition to the Spirit of God? Must a prophesy or Word of Knowledge pass your inspection? I've known some ministers who were polite in doing this and not laying too many details on front street for the sake of the individual they whose mail they are reading.

Get out there in the deep water means going to a psychic board and testing a what you believe is a Spiritual ability?

God isn't about "experiencing stuff". God is about relating TO HIM. What gifts I have God uses to edify saints and lead people to Christ, not give psychic like readings to strangers.

I would have much rather found a school of the prophets or something more akin to my beliefs. But there are none. Few Spirit filled sources believe in actually developing spiritual gifts and how to mentor the believer into understanding how to interpret various dimensions of the Spirit's power.

No, no, no. It means going ANYWHERE and unleashing the gifts within you. Honing and developing them to be used in the Kingdom.

I never said "stuff". I said deeper "spiritual realities". For example, getting the Holy Ghost is a deeper spiritual reality than religion. Praying in tongues and then experiencing interpretation is a deeper spiritual reality. There are so many things we are not seeking... that are ours by spiritual birthright.

Amen. Maybe you've been mentored enough in the Lord to understand how to deal with impressions that the Spirit gives you about people. For some of us... it makes us hate crowds. Exhausts us. And causes us to question things. We've never had a strong prophet of God willing to teach us what we're experiencing.

Re: Testing Your Spiritual Gifts:

Eh, sadly... Pentecostals have become one of the most skeptical and scenical groups.

Where are the Seers and Prophets who aren't afraid to be... Seers and Prophets?

No! The bible says TEST the spirits whether they be of God and that there are a lot of deceivers. God won't fault me for being skeptical especially when all you supposedly did was give a vague statement to a large group of people that could cover a lot of bases. Im telling that is what psychics do too. They generalize and get a hit and then work it.

Now come along and speak something specific to one specific person that nobody but that person knew about...that's a different story.

Act 5:1 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,
Act 5:2 and with his wife's knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Act 5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?
Act 5:4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
Act 5:5 When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last. And great fear came upon all who heard of it.

Quote:
Must a prophesy or Word of Knowledge pass your inspection?
No, it must pass HIS inspection!

Deu 18:19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.
Deu 18:20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.'
Deu 18:21 And if you say in your heart, 'How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?'--
Deu 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.

Like I said, psychics have been deceiving the gullible and emotionally unstable for years and years by "speaking", generalized verbage and getting hits then working those hits.

Tell it to them in private then or whisper in their ear.

Personally I don't believe God intended the gifts to be used that way, in a one man show, walking around the room with hopeful sheeple looking on expecting a sign. It's fertile ground for just that kind of psychic like reading. People are emotionally expecting and often willing to hear anything.

Sorry but I've seen way to many fakes and I am well aware of the gimicks they use AND I have experienced the genuine personally so I know this sort of stuff happens
