In the 6th grade...oh so long ago we learned this Bible verse...
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

That's a verse I learned when I was a young teen, and have always TRIED to live by it. But I have failed many times, I'm afraid.

What is interesting to me is that you keep bringing up my name as though I have done some great wrong, but the woman who is your great friend seems to be perfect in your eyes.

(TIT 3:10) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
(Tit 3:11) Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so ridiculous. Sis. A. knows that I have many faults, and she would be the first to admit that she does too. But we love each other and pray for each other. We are as different on some issues as two people can be, but we are alike in our zeal and passion for God and His foreign fields. That is what unites us!

My thoughts exactly, DM.

What's so funny is someone is judging people that he has only read a few of their posts and has NEVER met.

1 Cor 13:4-14:1

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I agree. I just caught up reading the thread, and have been sitting here shaking my head in disbelief. There were several posts prior to this one that I thought about responding to, but decided not to. I think I'd rather spend that time doing something productive. Arguing on here is just a waste of valuable time.

Didn't Paul write both I Co and Titus?

I never met Paul either, but I don't have any problem understanding what he believed. You can understand that by just reading his letters.
