PO...Dr Ben Carson said Cruz cheated, by telling people who would vote for him, (Carson), that he had dropped out of the race. What do you make of that? Carson has always appeared to be upstanding to me.

The story started at CNN with Jake Tapper and picked up by Taegan Goddard at Politicalwire. Notice the time - right before Caucus.

The Ted Cruz camp got wind of it and wanted to protect their candidate.

If CNN jumped the gun, it is a weird thing to say that you are leaving IOWA before the votes have been counted to go and get some clean clothes. I put the fault on Ben Carson who has lots of problems with his campaign.

And I certainly do not fault the Cruz campaign for protecting votes from going to Trump.

And, BTW, when Mitt Romney ran, Jake Tapper told me that I was delusional if I though that Mitt was not getting the nomination - and that BEFORE the primary was decided. So, these media guys know how to run the numbers and the manipulation. This time, with Ted, it didn't work.

Received a little more information on this. I had heard that Huckabee's people started the rumor that the Cruz camp started the dirty tricks, but I wasn't sure where that came from.

Man, that sounds like a High School conversation. LOL!

Anyway, today, I read that Carson's Iowa State Director, Ryan Rhodes, showed reporters a text on his phone from Barbara Heki, a Mike Huckabee supporter. “The Cruz speakers at our caucus announced Carson was suspending his campaign for a while after caucus. They did this before the vote. Same thing happened at another caucus. Sounds like slimy Cruzing to me,” the text read.

I think that Carson's people need to look at Huckabee on this. He has been going negative on Cruz ever since the people of Iowa showed they would back Cruz this go round and not Huckabee.

I also heard the Huckabee was supposed to endorse Trump today. We shall see if that happens. If he does, that adds more credibility to the story that Huckabee wanted to give Cruz more negative press after Iowa win.
