I was asked a similar question by a member of admin via PM yesterday. Perhaps it's a census being taken?

NYLP, I thought so too, but found the opposite is indeed true.

Token $100 protest offerings with letters sent to HQ and then offerings directly to the other ministries.

Sad but it is true.

It truly is sad that Lighthouse Ranch, Tupelo, etc. etc. etc. will have to suffer BECAUSE OF THE BAD DECISIONS OF THE LEADERSHIP (I.E. HAZLEWOOD) OF THE UPCI... not the local pastors who disagree with the direction of the organization. I know pastors, who instead of routing their monies through UPCI foreign missions (and having about 2/3 taken out for "administrative costs") are sending their monies directly to the missionaries themselves, and they are receiving 100% of the money, instead of just 1/3.... Also, pastors can support Lighthouse Ranch and Tupelo directly without having to route their money through Hazlewood. What the local pastor are trying to do is withold support the worldly agendas of hazlewood moneygrabbers and displays of carnality as seen at NAYC...

JMHO

Don't have time to read this whole thread, but the above paragraph contains a GROSS OVERSTATEMENT concerning the percentage that WEC keeps for administrative costs.

2/3 of the giving is 66% of what comes in. I thought I remembered that the figure is somewhere between 10-15%. That is not extravagant---its a reasonable percentage to cover the costs of running the FMD and to pay its staff. We would not have the effective missions program without the adminstrative work done by FMD.

It is sad that worthwhile ministries will suffer for the wrong headed choices of protesters of the NAYC. Its highly unethical. I don't believe God is pleased with it either. Send your complaint to WEC via email or phone or snail mail, but this sitting on funds raised is ridiculous.

Jesus taught us to give expecting nothing in return.

There is a really bad spirit growing in our movement and its stinks in the nostrils of God. I pray the Lord will have mercy on such spirits. Sowers of discord aren't highly regarded in the Scripture. In fact the book of Proverbs says that the Lord "hates" those that sow discord among brethren.

Note, He not only hates the sowing of discord, He hates those who sow the discord.

That's a pretty serious violation in my book.

I am torn in all this. While I can understand the frustration that goes into such a choice, I am not sure it is the proper choice to make.

I personally feel that the conservative ministers are just very frustrated because so much is changing (Only time will tell if the changes are for better or worse), and feel like they are no longer being heard by HQ. In their frustration to be heard, many are diverting funds from HQ and sending them directly to the source, or using sources like the IAM that takes no percentage out of the funds.

Is this right? I don't know all the ends and outs of the organization, so I don't know. But maybe a revolution is in order for this to come to a head and be dealt with.

I am a member of Admin and I am an owner and I PMed you yesterday - so at the sake of making a mistake let me assume that you were talking about me. If that be the case your above post is a lie.

Here is the PM I sent to you minus a small private part at the end that had nothing to do with subject in question.

noticed on one of the threads.....didnt read it all, just the first two pages, that you seem to no longer like the makeup of the admin........even though renda is on a break.... as I have been for about three weeks or so......

it is real simple dan, if you dont like it feel free to not click on the link that brings you to the forum......but otherwise your constant banter gets old......

this is just MHlittleO...........

I am sure that there are many places that would love to have your banter.....but otherwise give some good discussion and not the constant pushing the lines.....

God bless.

Now I do not see where you were polled to leave the forum, I stated (and it was not as a member of admin or owner, but as a poster) that I noticed in your post you didnt seem happy..... and as a poster I am sick and tired of your pushing the lines.........(and I say as poster - to the best of my knowledge I have never even infracted you over a matter so I was not speaking as an admin for if I were I would have taken action.......)

Dont ever take anything I say and try to turn it to something it is not, for if I see it I will call your hand on the matter........too bad you couldnt keep it to PM...........

I'm sickened by this. Completely disgusted.

Apparently, in a manner of protesting the sinful '07 NAYC, several Pastors are either withholding or significantly lessening the amount of their SFC offerings this year.

If you're a Pastor who is thinking about doing this, would you mind explaining what in the world you feel this will accomplish? Please, by all means, state why you think you should punish the ministries and people that are supported by SFC simply because of your childish tantrum over what happened at NAYC this year. Help me understand why you feel Tupelo, Lighthouse Ranch, Home and Foreign Missionaries, Bible Quizzing and other District events should pay for what happened at NAYC.

This is as stupid as Democratic Senators/Representatives blocking or withholding funds from the troops because they don't support the war.

Doing this does nothing but hurt and possibly permanently injure the ministries or other people that SFC supports. You sure you want to be a part of that? You sure God would honor your tantrum and attitude of "well, I'll make them pay for what happened . . . "

How dare these men. If they follow through with their threats, they'll have to answer to God for their ridiculous selfishness and arrogance. I cannot imagine God approving of this kind of attitude and action.

Any Pastor here on AFF thinking about making this kind of a childish statement?

JMO Sick . . . just sick.
Your right! I agree, why make someone else go through a punishment that they do not deserve. And we are supposed to be UNITED?!?!
