Re: It happened long ago....
Dear Friends:
Getting used to having a car again is quite an excitement..Bro Alvear and I are like two kids that just got to the mission field…we can’t make enough visits! Riding the car is such a blessing. We blow at everybody!
This has been such an exciting month in missions. Brother Alvear and I have traveled several thousand miles. We have visited churches in several states and are looking through an open door into the state of Goias.
Sister Carla and her family moved from another state where we have works to the state of Goias and in her area there is not one church that preaches truth. Please help us have a church she told us…and next week as we make our way to the jungle in Marahao we will pass through the state of Goias and have a housemeeting.I wonder just how many souls we could help save if we had support to rent a building in her village? I wonder who would sponsor someone making trips there until we could get a self supporting work? Shall we let them perish in darkness?
Doors are opening on every side. People are ripe for the gospel to be preached.
Tomorrow a group leaves for Paraguay. Saturday another group is traveling to the state of Sergipe. This weekend is regional conference in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Next week we will dedicate phase one of the new church in Barra do Corda area.
If one lost soul is important to God, then one lost soul should be important to us. His burden must be our burden.
Tonight one more soul was baptized in the precious name.
Keep the flood victims in your prayers. We have been doing all we can to reach out to them in northeast Brazil. Thanks to all those that have helped with this project.
God is doing great things...thank you for being a part of missions in Brazil. We are deeply grateful for those that hold up our hands in missions. Thank you so much for your support, prayers and love!
Your friends in His service:
Brother and Sister Raul Alvear
