Of course to this pastor merely wearing a skirt above the knees constituted adultery (and bestiality and child molestation and a list of other things). I suppose if I were to post some recent pics of us in the Dominican Republic some would accuse me of pimping her out. (And no, I will not post the pics themselves here.)

Personally, I am more concerned with the scandal your own appearance caused.

How do you know those beautiful legs are actually mine? I could have scanned in a post card from the gift shop.

Sounds like some folks had some issues. It's one thing to preach agains't things the bible names as sin,but somethings would be better dealt with in private.

Bro. Fogarty made a huge mistake, but was always known to be a good man...a close friend of my brother. I met him only once at the funeral of my nephew.
Let us pray for all involved...this is not a happy time for anyone.

I would agree that bestiality and adultery and child molestation (and the other things she was accused of) are all sins.... But wearing swimwear or a skirt above the knees (for women) hardly falls into "splitting the gates of Hell wide open" territory.

Whether it's the young lady "on the right" or whatever, she wasn't found guilty of the slander. The old man just went over the top in trying to justify something in his own mind that needed no justification from the pulpit and got himself into a heap of trouble for it.

A picture is on their church site ... and name listed on the Spiritual Abuse site and she is mentioned in the story and in the legal documents .... and her business being discussed in this thread by various posters who I can list ...
was asked a question and answered to the best of my knowledge.

Oh yes and the fact that she didn't "SUBbbbb-mittt!" which is of course said with a bit of spit flying out of the mouth. Obviously she was married to a man who went to this church. Would she be there otherwise? We don't know but the ties were there at the time.
