(you)Absolutely not.

Then I guess you don't understand the scripture, the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church.Heres a hint.

Math.16:[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
[19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Hints? What is this "hint" business? Sort of gives one a feeling of superiority, eh?

The issue of the gates of hell is speaking about how death cannot hold back the church since it is founded upon Christ, the Son of the LIVING God. It is the additonal revelation that Peter missed after getting the initial one of Christ's identity. It has to do with the church's identity, in being enjoined to the qualities of Christ, the Son of the LIVING (undying) God. We're changed into the same image as Christ on the mountain or Kingdom rock of revelation, much like Christ's face shone like the sun a week later when the same two revelations were again presented to Peter, who again missed the second.

In short, the church will not succumb to death or any other lesser enemy. That means it still stands.

Got any more hints?

It's easier to get Misunderstanding than Miss America.

See I gave you a hint because I knew you had no idea what the scripture was saying. Its saying anyone who has the keys to the kingdom and uses them the gates of hell can't prevail against them, but all people who say they have the keys don't use them.See we know the gates of hell does prevail against some people because they don't use them to bind..

Math.16:[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
