Re: Easy Super Bowl Snack Recipes

Oreo Balls

1 package regular size Oreo cookies, crushed
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 package white almond bark
1 package chocolate almond bark

Using a mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together.
Roll into bite size balls. Arrange on a plate and chill them for an hour.

Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark.
Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark.

Arrange them and allow to harden on wax paper. (This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.)

Melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark.

I use a ziploc bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner to drizzle the almond bark over the candies.

Variations:

You can also dip them in chocolate almond bark, and drizzle white almond bark over them but I like them better dipped in the white and drizzled with the chocolate.

If you are doing them for Christmas candies, you can also sprinkle a little red or green sugar on them just before the white almond bark gets hardened on them instead of doing the drizzle on top of them.

Another Christmas idea is to add a little red or green food coloring to the melted white almond bark before drizzling it across the candies.

Works for me, but my bunch always wants more.

Black Bean / Corn Salsa

1 can black beans (drained)
1 can whole kernel corn (drained)
1 can Ro-tel tomatoes (as spicy as you like - even the chili fixin's flavor good)

Mix together. Serve with Scoops or tortilla chips and maybe a side of sour cream

My daughter makes this and it is really good and easy

Re: Easy Super Bowl Snack Recipes

Zesty Ranch Crackers

1 lb. saltine crackers
1 cup canola oil
2 (1ounce)packages original dry ranch dressing mix
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

DIRECTIONS

Put the crackers in a container that has a leak proof lid. (Plastic gallon jug works good)

In a small bowl mix Canola Oil, packages of Ranch Salad Dressing Mix, and Crushed pepper together.

Pour the mixture evenly over the crackers.

Put the leak proof lid on the container and turn over and over until all crackers are coated. (This needs to be done for 15 minutes or so)

These crackers will keep for a long time if kept in a sealed container -- but they usually are gone long before needing to worry about that!

These are delicious. You do NOT bake them. I've not tried it, but folks say the oyster crackers do good too and they would make for easier snacking. Some mix pretzels in. VERY tasty.

H1 doesn't make brittle of any kind. She just sells it.
