not sure how much, it covered my foot when I stepped in it LOL
thankfully there isnt any ice to deal with - the area got ice, but it was south and east of us.
That would be where I'm at! It wasn't bad shoveling the snow, but then we had to chip through the ice to get to the 4 inches of sleet that fell before the snow!

We had had a foot of snow a week or so ago. It has never melted, so it's still there. NOW we've added about 8" more to that! Geesh!! At least this time it's a warm snowstorm. I think the temps today were in the upper 20's, so that's not toooooo bad. I had to wear gloves, but no hat. And I only have a lined sweatshirt jacket that I wear for a winter coat. It was warm enough.
Got a funny story for you regarding the weather ----
Last night we had Bible Study at a ladies' house from our church. We have one woman who always comes late. And she always calls another woman (Sandy) on her cell phone just to say, "I'm coming! I'm just running late!"
So last night we had started our study and were almost 1/2 hour into it when Michelle made her weekly call. When Sandy's phone rang, 3 of us at the same time said, "That's Michelle". Sandy looked and nodded yes. When she answered the phone, Michelle says, "I FELL!!" Sandy asked if she was ok and Michelle said yes. So she says to her, "Where are you at then?" And Michelle hollers into the phone, "I'M IN THE DRIVEWAY!!" We all jumped up and ran out and sure enough, there sat Michelle, smack dab in the center of a big snowdrift in the driveway!!! We all laughed so hard it took forever for us to pick her up and help her into the house. She had slipped on the ice under the snow. Toooooooooooo funny!!

Looking out my door, it looks like at least 6 inches of snow with freezing rain falling now.

School here is closed tomorrow for the third day in a row.
My son is in WI, but cannot start school until they receive his transcripts. He's the only kid who is being excused from WI school because an IL school is closed....LOL!
