Thoughts on Todd Bentley and Lakeland - Page 4

Lee Grady sent me a personal email about all of it as soon as the story broke. He knew how strong I stood against the whole mess in Lakeland. Lots of BAD mess there before TB came to town!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been saved all of my life and have walked with God in a Prophetic Ministry since I was 16 and am 52 now and have never seen anyone miss as bad as this guy did. You guys just missed it and you should admit it. He was wrong and you were wrong to air him and promote him and you have done much damage to the Body of Christ.
I pastor a great church in Atlanta, GA and we have been hurt because GOOD PEOPLE got caught up in all that mess and left and now don't go to church anywhere. You have damaged a lot of good people across the nation by airing this guy.

Again, You should apologize to the world and put a public apology out in CHARISMA and buy a whole page in USA Today and APOLOGIZE to everyone as to how WRONG you were.
This whole mess sickens me from the first time I saw him. I warned our church and everyone I knew about him - but you guys were determined to showcase him and give him the world - well, I hope your happy about what you did! You are responsible and you have hurt a lot of people!

I have been around EVERYBODY that prophesies and have traveled and preached for many and many have preached for me. I have seen every aspect of the Prophetic - but NEVER SEEN ANYONE THIS BAD!
This guy misses by a million miles!!!!!!!!!! He was TERRIBLE! I thought it was a TERRIBLE SHOW! It was soooooooooooooo pointless and stupid to me that ANYONE with half a brain could see how stupid it all was!!!!!!!!!!

This may be for other thread...

but, as you point out, it seems there is alot of human ability and showmanship involved in "Prophetic" ministry... that this is recognizable and discernable is interesting to say the least.

You know that scripture that states, something to this effect:

"When you hear rumors that the Christ is here or the Christ is here, do not believe them..."

Has anyone already thought or have been taught that this scripture is referring to "false anointed ones", not just fake Christs (like I used to think)?

I don't like the fact that Grady is just now coming out with this. The timing is very self serving for the magazine.

Fact is Strader backed TB. Charisma/Strang backed Strader and TB.

Could it be that Charisma was just after more circulation and TB appealed to a whole new crowd. Sales of the mag go up with a "revival" Now that it has fallen flat....they are doing some PR and printing a retraction without having to call it a retraction.

As I speculated on my thread "Bentley Quits" that with the church it is always about money or sex. "Whooop there it is" sex and a divorce. Just wait until the divorce is filed. If TB does not pay her off before hand I bet she will disclose a WHOLE LOT in her divorce papers. Just more of my speculation.

Even a faker can preach Christ with the wrong motivations, and can have a positive effect on someone.
