Fear is a spirit, and it does not come from God. "For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, and of power, and a sound mind." When you are in fear, you can't think straight.
You are out of your mind.
Job was highly developed in
fear.
Fear that he would lose his health, his wealth and his relationships. "The thing that I
greatly feared is come upon me." (
Job 3:25). He was out of his mind with fear.
When you are operating in fear, you are "hosting" a spirit from the devil. You are giving place (opportunity) to the devil. You are allowing the devil to attach one of his demons to you. A wicked spirit, which fully intends to steal everything you have, to kill your family members, and destroy your life and your trust in God. This was exactly what he was trying to do to Job.
It was not until Job stopped worrying, quit blaming God for his trouble, and began to praise Him in that trouble, that Job regained his right mind, and began to win the victory over his trial.
Of course, we are all going to encounter trouble in this life, but I think some of you are taking it too far by saying God is sending us
extreme suffering to train us.
Extreme suffering is from the devil and if you think he is trying to make you strong in God, you are wrong, because the word says that the only reason he comes around is to "steal, and to kill, and to destroy..." (
Jn 10:10). He's not coming around to do the will of God.
Yes, we should count it all joy, when we fall into temptations. Yes, we are instructed to praise God in
all things. "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, be thankful unto Him, and bless His name, for the LORD is good and His mercy is everlasting and His truth endureth unto all generations". "In everything give thanks." These are weapons to use against our enemy, the devil.
So, stop worrying, recover your right mind, and begin count it all joy, begin to practice praise and thanksgiving during all trials, tribulations and tests. You will
always pass the test. You will
always defeat the trial, because, by doing these things you are displaying the shield of faith. The shield of faith will, "...quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked."
