Had some friends who their young people went to PEAK. No pastor that I know was happy about PEAK! The music was atrocious. Buncha volume and beat and couldn't hear the lyrics. This pastor friend told me that his group is not going back.
Another Elder in the WPF is fit to be tied as he remembers the decline of the UPCI. He said it started in the youth group as they tried to fit in to the world yet still stay in the church. He sees PEAK as the UPCI 2.0!
Then of course they were livestreaming it on Youtube also.... hehehehehehehehe
An just think. Just 11-12 years ago they told the UPCI "ADIOS!" over live broadcasting on TV.
Hmmmmmmm.....
Wonder if the WPF is going to apologize to the UPCI for lying about the motives?
Probably not as it was all political anyway!!!

This is as funny as it can be when you think about it.
So Bro E has a campmeeting and videotapes and livestreams everything on Youtube, the ultracons go thinking that they are standing for something because they preach against TV but still want to preach at the camp meetings.....
Bunch of WPF folks show up who supposedly got out of the UPCI for the use of video and broadcasting on TV (So's their reason went!) and Bro E videos them all and livestreams it!!!!!

Had an Elder in the WPF tell me that Covid changed everything. I told him that convictions are unchanging.
Preferences may change but convictions never change.

Did they preach against having a TV set or against having Cable, netflix, etc…? Or did they preach against watching any worldly movie (which are pretty much all Hollywood movies in this age)?

Not sure if you’re referring in general or a specific event.
WPF guys left the UPC because of their stance on TV, weather for entertainment or another tool to use for the gospel. The irony is the leaders of the WPF were acid against it, now there services that there organization sponsors has live streaming on YouTube or FaceBook. A preacher down in Louisiana has been a hot topic on social media since last spring.

I knew a former conservative preacher who preached that the television was possessed. He told me that they brought one into his church and they beat it with chains. I didn’t say anything.
Sometimes I just think.

More scripture for putting your own eye out than beating a tv with chains.
