Re: your opinion about divorce

No remarriage after divorce if both parties had been through the blood. “Except it be for fornication” is not referring to adultery or constituting a freedom for “the innocent party”. Rather, it is referring to a marriage contract that was entered into deceitfully, under a false impression of virginity.

Absolutely no divorce and remarriage I’m the ministry!

I would say this. It’s a heaven or hell issue that could cause many to be lost. We better get a concrete answer from the Word of God. There are a couple preachers that have recently gotten a new revelation on the subject, but it appears their revelation is more contingent on their personal life experiences than scripture. I’m sorry, but I just can’t take such men seriously that change their message to suit their experiences.

Re: your opinion about divorce

Divorce is worse than death and does way more psychological damage unless the death is from a murder or the death is that of a child.

Re: your opinion about divorce

Matthew 19 is for national Israel. Jesus was not implementing new marriage laws. Rather, he was expounding on the true spirit of the existing Law.

In I Corinthians 7, Paul gives the New Testament church clear instructions on marriage. He makes it clear that a Christian should not initiate a divorce, and especially if two Christians seperate, they should reconcile or remain single.

"To the rest", Christians married to unbelievers, he makes it clear that they are not under the same obligations as the first group provided it was the unbeliever abandoning the marriage. I know some will insist that the Christian abandoned by an unbelieving spouse cannot remarry, either, but such a conclusion makes Paul's words seem meaningless.

I disagree. Divorce is extremely bad and should be avoided at any cost, except fornication which IS any sexual sin. Look up the Greek word. Fornication in Greek covers all sexual sin. And saying it doe snot is restricting the word to definitions from English dictonaries, not the original Greek.
