The right and the left are two hands of the same monster.

Re: Republicans taxing churches
Okay, in all seriousness. Beyond mere differences of opinion or interpretation on this...
I find it strange that it is a "Republican" opening the doors for the taxation of churches... while helping corporations, millionaires, and billionaires become more and more tax exempt.

Which we are compelled to feed regardless - by taxation. I dont mind a tax on earned $ for services I receive. So long as it is not usery...I am paid in "Ceasers coin" hence he may ask for a portion. I completely abhor property tax etc.
The FED should be illegal. Defense should be defense, not natiion building and proxy wars. Laws should not exceed the original natural laws, which by nature look much like the ten commandments because God created nature. Society should be voluntary and I signed no social contract by being born. (Some signed a contract to legally add me to their family -but Only a name change of that contract and a secrecy clause actually affect me)
Such thought would reduce tax burden extensively within the range of Rendering to Ceaser that which is his.

25 He said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tax? From their sons or from others?” 26 And when he said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. 27 However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.” Here, Jesus miraculously provided the money necessary to pay the taxes required by law, so as to not bring offense. This is in harmony with every other biblical admonition to obey the law and pay one's taxes.
Matthew 22:17-21 English Standard Version (ESV)
17 Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18 But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? 19 Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. 20 And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” 21 They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”
Romans 13:7 English Standard Version (ESV)
Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
1 Peter 2:13-14 English Standard Version (ESV)
13 Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, 14 or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.

Jesus told Peter that it was wrong to tax the children of the nation.
Don't offend who?
Why was it in a fish's mouth?
