7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. 10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost:

Gal 5:11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. 12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

What does the Old Testament phrase 'cut off from their people' mean?

I have often read it, but am having difficulty imaganing how it may have actually been practiced? If it was determined that so and so "must be cut off from their people. " (Leviticus 7:27) would this simply mean they were cast out fo the camp and never welcomed back? How would the rest of his immediete family be treated and would the person have 'moving notice', or would it be suddenly applied without food provisions etc.

I am hoping somebody can identify real Jewish history or Rabbinic examples that describe an instance of this penalty actually being applied.

The Hebrew word here is כרת‎ (karet). The precise meaning is uncertain, but it seems to be a punishment at the hands of heaven, not one that a human court hands down. Depending on whom you ask, this might be an early death (at the age of 50, according to one talmudic opinion), extinction of the soul (spiritual, not physical, punishment), or a punishment in the world to come (after death). The first mishna in tractate Keritot enumerates 36 transgressions for which this is the punishment, drawn from various places in torah; Wikipedia lists some of them.

In both cases, man influenced the Lord to take care of these folks, and Paul wished the "Judaisers" that created a stumblingblock to the saints,(hinderers) to be destroyed by God.

The greatest stumblingblock to sinners and saints alike in the modern day church is the TITHE teaching. It must be stopped or revival will NEVER come.

Plan A is that these men repent and cease to teach this heretical stumblingblock.

Plan B is that these men that refuse to stop because of greed or hardness of heart is to get ill or cease living themselves by the Lords' hand.

Both Peter and Paul were Apostles with Apostolic Power and Authority.

Im not the one that is in trouble, the Holy Ghost is dealing with you. You will go COMMAND your saints this week to tithe right out of the Law(Mal.3), which places you and your saints under the curse of the Law.

Holy Ghost, please convict my brother.

Re: Deep Apostolic Teachers?

Guys, I'm not one of these narcissistic brethren that tries to attach a "title" to my name to get respect. I see that everywhere and it makes the Lord and me sick.

I personally know, or have served with some of the biggest names in Pentecost brother, I am not ignorant to these matters. The little $$$ game is over. The Lord is going to require the blood of these sinners and fallen saints at the tithe teachers hands. This is the truth in the Holy Ghost.

They are in the same camp as the reformers of the dark ages, but "hijacking" the book of Acts as a front to continue as so called, "bearers of truth".

They hang on to this "dark age" heresy for dear life. What a shame.
