It would apply too if there was evidence that the qualifications for being a Bishop was merely a cultural edict

- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

So true!
Just because financial gain is at the root of most (yet not all!) churches/pastors.... still doesn't mean the Lord is pleased with it, and look at the shipwreck of lives that happens with that concept in place.

At our meeting that we had last sunday at the church, they said theyre was stuff going in between the family and was to remain private. So nobody on here really know the truth except if your on the board. And they told us yestarday during service that the whoever is the new pastor will not be incharge of the church's money, were seting up a finaical group of 4 people that will be in charge of it. Bro.Black was an amzing pastor and taught our church well. Even though he was making mistakes in his own life. Pray for him and his family. Also yestrdays service we had 8 people babtized!!

Four people to handle the money? That seems like a little over-reaction to me, but then again I don't know the circumstances that led to this. I guess it's better to err on the side of caution!

There's no concrete evidence the uncut hair is a cultural mandate.
Who was the bishop of the Jerusalem congregation? I don't recall bishops mentioned in Acts.

I just have to say if this where was where I attended church I would be very hesitant to Divulge information that would damage my congregation. Or hurt people any more than they were hurting. What was said to the congregation I believe needs to stay in the congregation. That in my opinion is the Problem with a lot of apostolics. We tend to tell everything that we know. No matter who it hurts. Sometimes we just need to let God take care of situations

Way off subject, but actually God planned for Israel to have a king, just not when they asked for one.
Duet 17:14-20
14..When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,” 15..be sure to appoint over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite. 16..The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the Lord has told you, “You are not to go back that way again.” 17..He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.
18..When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the Levitical priests. 19..It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees 20..and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.
