Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
I know that Dallas First Church is in the Dallas area. I am not quite sure whether he could be called liberal or conservative as it has been many years since my family had any interaction with him.
I know that he sent his men to hold my dad (who was pastoring in the area) a revival, and then a little later came and held one for us himself.
His church was always more geared to the rocky sound that was prevelanent in the late 80s or early 90s, but appeared to have a strong standard in dress. I do not know anything about the situation now aside from the fact that they appear to be doing well and having revival. My information is nearly 20 years old.

I have been a few times. I think you pretty much nailed it. I have problems with a good beat. I would recommend a good set of earplugs though. The only thing that made it "OK" was going to the Potter's House the night before... 130 decibels easy.

Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
There are multiple "Dallas First Church". I assume it is the UPCI one as opposed to say Seventh Day Adventist one. If so it does not have a Sunday night service.
Please note title and first post. Sunday night service 6pm or later.

Sorry, don't know of any. Let me do some asking around.

Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
I was not aware the DFC had dropped their Sunday night services. I am disappointed. Unfortunately, I am not aware of another church nearby. The is one in Burleson that is a daughter work of DFC, but I do not know anything about it. My father pastored that church before it came under DFC.

Who wants to go to church on Sunday night, that is the time to be preparing for the week. Go to a good church on Sunday morning meditate on the Word and fellowship till Wed night Life Group, then ride that inspiration till Sun again.
You can go to church so much that you are immunized against doing anything with what you hear, and have to have the regular "fix" so as not to get in the dumps. God is bigger and longer lasting than all that.

Re: Suggestions church Sunday nights Dallas
Me, I would rather be in church every day and every night. If not that, then in constant fellowship with people who are truly hungry and seeking after God. They are so much fun to teach. I need all of the inspiration that I can get. There is no riding the Wednesday night service until Sunday. I love to listen to all of the preaching that I can get my grubby hands on.
