Here we have Peter and Paul talking about praying until they were "in a trance".

I think I know what this means. Any thoughts?

This is very touching for me because many of us i believe are see'ers. When i say that I mean God speaks to us through visions and flashes. I am not a strong intercessor but I am a strong meditator and I love to take long prayer walks just to talk and commune with God. Many times during those walks - almost all the time actually - I will pray until God puts me in a trance and usually he will begin to show me my next message (ill find myself watching the whole message like a film) or he will show me parables. This has happened during prayer walks, driving (i have no idea how i never hit anyone) and prayer meetings. Hope that's not too deep but this is the "Deep Waters"

Since God began dealing with me in visions, I have no preached a message i havent already seen myself preach because God deals strongly with me during those times and there is no question its his will.

Re: Spiritual Communion

Drummer, I appreciate the clarification. I do agree that often we spend more time thinking about what we want, rather than what God wants. I do find that if I get my mind very fixed on Him, He will speak to me. This is how I have discovered at points the will that He has for my life, or how He will move in a certain service. I set myself aside and give Him my full and undivided attention.

Amen. I've had similar experiences.

When I was preaching, I'd go to a local park and just sit and meditate on a passage I felt the need to preach from. I'd pray and meditate until I could "hear" the sermon in my head. I'd then take notes. When it came time for me to preach, I'd preach it as I heard it in my soul the day I took the notes. I'd note where I heard a pause, when to call the musicians, what songs I'd que the musicians to sing, and my closing remarks, and altar call. Since I'd "hear" the sermon in my head I couldn't take very long notes or I'd get lost. So I started doing "buble outlines" in pencil using key words to key my memory and keep the flow. My pastor thought it was weird. lol

Thats very cool. Yeah ive noticed many preachers have there own way of getting to that place where your seeing God move. Every time i get to that place, i like to believe that its me im seeing or hearing but everything in me tells me its an angel of God that looks like me. There has been times when in my visions, I (or the angel showing himself as me) would turn and look at me as if i know im being watched (sounds weird i know) and begin preaching to me. I would wake out of those moments far beyond where i was headed if driving crying and sobbing because it was a prophetic word to my soul.

Like you i would also see the songs played, see when i would pause, who i needed to pray for or prophecy to etc. Its an amazing place to be. My wife has learned that if i stop what im doing and my eyes glaze over not to touch me or shake me so she will just wait until im back and ask me what ive learned.

Amazing how great God is to enter our very consciousness and speak to us in a level no one else can imagine.
