Yes, the Spirit is involved in every area of our conversion: bringing us to faith, repentance, during water baptism the Spirit performs a circumcision of our heart, as well as filling us with himself and then sanctifying us, glorifying us, etc.
Iow, the Spirit making us alive is not necessarily Spirit baptism but the work of the Spirit in salvation.

Indeed, the issue is new birth. A birth that I believe is spiritual. It's always amazed me how we apostolics equate baptism to a burial throughout the scriptures...except for John 3.

It's still a burial, but moreso a death. But it requires death to the old man first with the water. It's a sequential process.

No, it's not. At the moment you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, is when you are born again.

I disagree. Peter proceeded to baptize the Gentiles after a visions commanding Him to do so, with a serious mandate, for more reasons than your view seems to allow.

No, not touchy. You come off as a smug know-it-all who has never been outside the box. I regret ever entering into any discussion with you...and will not make that mistake in the future.

According to some people, that's a know-it-all smug answer.
