Israel was admonished by Jeremiah not to rebel against Nebuchadnezzar, because Nebuchadnezzar was God's servant to bring Judah under punishment for their rebellion against God.

Sister, the apostle wrote that the solider doesn't entangle himself in civilian affairs. I didn't write that, I didn't take that from a secular example myself. The Apostle Paul wrote that to Timothy admonishing him that he was to have one main focus and that was in the work of Jesus Christ. Paul also tells Timothy to pray for political leaders, but doesn't say to campaign for them, or to support them from his (or the churches) personal funds.
