Re: More news at the U.N. in New York

Do you believe he could have 9,000 converts in northern India? That he could have been beaten? That it's possible he could have been caught away? That bro. C.P. thomas has several degrees? That the quran could make Jesus the one true messiah and God?

I'm not saying that it is true. I don't know it to be true. I think it is within the realm of possibility.

Do you believe every event that happened in the Bible is true? I certainly do. I believe also that the miracles/signs/wonders that happen in the Bible can happen in our time.

Does this mean that I believe everything that Stoneking preaches actually happened? No, I do not. I think he believes they happen. I do believe they COULD have happened.

I also make room for the possibility that bro. C.P. Thomas could be exaggerating or lying. It is possible. If bro. Stoneking chooses to preach about events he believes to be true who am I to say they didn't happen? I have no proof to refute him.

I am by no means a Stoneking fanatic. I appreciate his style of preaching and agree with some of the messages he has preached. Does this mean I believe every word that comes out of the man's mouth? No. We are all human. We CAN be deceived. It is not my job to go around proving the stories that preachers choose to preach.

If you choose to doubt the validity, I cannot blame you. I choose to say it could have happened the way Stoneking and C.P. Thomas say it did. I also say that Stoneking could be mistaken and Stan Gleason could be mistaken. I don't think either of these men are liars.... although it's possible.

In Brother Stoneking's testimony concerning C. P. Thomas Brother Stonking directs his listeners to his comment that they should believe it because its Biblical? Wouldn't you agree that Brother Stonking is giving validation to the story by claiming the Bible reinforces Brother C. P. Thomas' event of being beamed over to his living room?
In the clip, Stoneking says he was introduced to Thomas by Stan Gleason and his wife who have been to India and participated in crusades with him.

I refer back to what Billy Cole said about not telling some of the things which God did overseas because we wouldn't believe him. It could well be that Thomas is telling the truth and our lack of faith and American arrogance and distrust keeps us from believing these things.

Look, if God was able to take Philip away from the desert in a whirlwind, and if He's able to open the jail doors for Peter, and if He's able to shake the jail and free prisoners when Paul and Silas were in jail -- if He could do it then, He could do it now.

I'm as skeptical as others with this. It sounds fanciful. But I don't want to say it can't happen, because to say that would be to cast doubt on the Bible and things God performed in the past.

Was Jonah really swallowed by a great fish? C'mon, that sounds preposterous! Was Elijah really caught away? Ridiculous.

Here's another one...was Mary really a virgin mother who gave birth to a Savior? That sounds a bit far fetched.

In fact, the whole Jesus crucified and rising from the dead story should be investigated as well.

Did the walls of Jericho really fall down after the Jews marched around them for seven days?

Was the lame man in Acts 3 really healed?

In fact, did Jesus really heal every sick and diseased person who came to Him?

Sounds too incredible to believe.

Re: More news at the U.N. in New York

There are critics. There are doubters. There are believers. I'm not going to be a critic, and while I may have a bit of doubt, I believe anything is possible with God. Because if I don't believe the Word which says that with God all things are possible, then I might as well toss my Bible, stop praying and stop going to church altogether.

Now we are comparing Brother Lee Stoneking, Gideon, and Jesus Christ.

The words of the Apostle Paul comes to mind "I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain."

I think I will just stick with the church family, and people in the Bible studies with their laptops and I phones. When someone stop proving what I say over the pulpit, then I'm in worse trouble than them.

God help America.

Re: More news at the U.N. in New York

It's lies like the Jewish Revival and outlandish tales like the 40 OBL wives that make wish God would strike dead anyone who lies about stuff like this, regardless of who they are or how God has used them in the past.

There needs to be more Ananias and Sapphira type deaths for those who lie about revivals or miracles and healings. Absolutely serious. The dude who told the Jewish Revival lie should have dropped dead in the pulpit while lying about it.

They have their reward n david.

Mercy is granted to everyone including those that exaggerate. We see through a glass darkly... one day we shall know who has lied and who has spoken truth... I think in that day we shall all be surprised.

You're right of course. I just hate that these things breed doubt and critics.
