Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
oh good grief!
Some of these comments are ridiculous at best. Your not voting for a pastor. Choose the person you feel best supports your beliefs about the government not salvation.

Pastors aren't elected. When God gives man the authority to elect representatives, rulers, magistrates, etc, they are obligated to choose someone who is the best man for the job. And a righteous, God fearing Christian is better than a godless infidel. Therefore, they are obligated to choose the righteous man who fears God.
Casting a vote for someone who is in rebellion against God is casting a vote for rebellion. Therefore, casting a vote for a rebellious man is an act of rebellion.
Christ is King, he is the Supreme Lawgiver and Judge. All lesser magistrates are bound by moral obligation to uphold his claims and support his divine government, as are all mankind in general, and professing Christians in particular.
We are forbidden to follow a multitude to do evil. It is evil to willfully choose evil men to run government. Therefore, it is forbidden to vote for or promote any candidate not living in the fear of God.
Such used to be the general, near universal attitude of Americans, when this nation was founded. Over time, Christians gave politics up to the devil, and began tolerating evil in public office, and began electing "the lesser of two evils" instead of demanding righteousness. And here we are.

Yeah, not exactly. But continue on.

What are your beliefs on a government?

Heard a great campaign ad for Cruz on the radio this morning. Not sure if Rush Limbaugh helped with the ad or not, but it featured clips of Limbaugh talking about Cruz and how he's the most consistent conservative in Congress and people should vote for Cruz. Wish I could find a link to it. It was a great ad.

Today polls are open in AZ. I was listening to the local morning news show on the way to work, and they were talking about one of the station's reporters interview with a lady who voted for the first time today.
The hosts apologized for the "lack of quality" candidates for whom to vote this election year. The hosts have made no effort to hide their disdain of Trump and Cruz. Their hope was an establishment type, a moderate who could bring in independents. They liked Rubio mostly.
It's different for me. For the first time since 2000, I cast a vote for someone I really want to be President. Someone with whose policies I agree. Someone who, unlike Trump, has a consistent record of being conservative and fighting for conservative values. I am very happy today to have cast my vote for Ted Cruz.
