Tapper has been in full defense mode on Twitter, posting and retweeting posts claiming CNN was right and Cruz deliberately twisted what CNN "accurately" reported.

They are all typical liars. So, John Harwood takes Ted Cruz's statement out of context on women being forced into being drafted.

He says that Cruz called our American soliders “psychopaths”. But, here is Ted Cruz's FULL statement:

Mike Warren makes the correction at Weekly Standards, and then John says the statement was unclear, but has since corrected taking it out of context. I don't know how much more clear they needed that statement to be. UGH!

I have utter contempt for Ted Cruz.
He is the only one worse than Trump.
However, Cruz has tacked so far to the right that a GOP nomination with his name on it is sure to doom the ticket-- unless Bernie Sanders some how snags the Democrat nomination.
A Trump vs Sanders or Cruz vs Sanders is enough to make me simply not vote.
It's really a shame the Democrats couldn't come up with a more centrist candidate to successfully challenge Clinton.
A Cruz candidacy will sink the GOP, but not if Sanders is who the Democrats present to the country. Sanders will lose against anyone the GOP puts forward.
Surely you'd think the Democrats would see this. It's not spectacularly visionary of me to forecast a Sanders defeat nationally-- regardless of who the GOP puts forward.

Yes, such a shame the homosexual loving baby murder enabling Democrats couldn't find a lesser homosexual loving baby murder enabling Democrat to run for President.
JD has contempt for Cruz because Cruz loves this country, believes in the 2nd amendment, is against homo marriages and baby killings and defends the Constitution.
It's why JD is worrying and dismayed the Democrats don't have a less evil one of them to run.

Cruz earned my disdain when jumped on the "let's see who can be more idiotic concerning the Muslims" bandwagon-- that was started by Carson by the way.
His idea to "carpet bomb" was the icing on the cake.

Not too sure about Cruz and Muslims, he's not anti-muslim politically (thought he'd probably affirm they need Jesus to be saved). And as for carpet bombing, he's explained that doesn't mean indiscriminate bombing, not that facts matter.

Facts do matter.
He tried to dress up and fix what he said, but carpet bombing means indiscriminate bombing.

Did he misspeak? I think he was trying to appear tougher than tough and didn't think there would be a negative reaction to what he said. I don't think he misspoke. I think miscalculated the response he would get.
He was roundly rebuked by many military leaders for his quip. It was a miscalculation, but he didn't misspeak.
As for his anti-Muslim lunacy, I spoke about that already.
