My eyes were opened when I got into the music business, and made good friends with folks from various church around town.
I felt that I had ALL the truth, but some of my friends from other churches put me to shame spiritually. Some of them prayed an hour per day, and were reading their bible during breaks. They were reading religious books in their leisure instead of watching TV. They had christ-like spirits and accepted me as a brother in Christ even though I didn't accept them in the same way.
