T1, I do not see a double standard. This is an Apostolic forum. We do not have the right to deride an Apostolic minister in the manner that you have done. We have, on the other hand, the right to defend whether or not there is salvation outside of
Acts 2:38 with tongues. TD Jakes and Rod Parsley, in many posters' opinion, do not preach the
Acts 2:38 with tongues message. This does not give these posters the right to same defaming things about them, save to state that they do not believe that they preach a message that brings the lost to become saved. However, issues of standards are matters that happen within the Apostolic community as a whole...that is with people who do preach Jesus Name baptism, the Oneness of the Godhead as opposed to the trinity, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with tongues--regardless of where they place salvation. We can refute another position, and we can state our differences, but we do not have to resort to name calling and labeling in such a way that we are making a mockery of another person's ministry, character, or good name. Nor should we do that with their church or place of ministry, be it a particular assembly, or the production of a magazine.
Regardless of whether they are Apostolic or not does not give us the right to call names or the like. To declare our beliefs as to whether they preach a saving message is certainly allowed.
And, T1, just because somebody else does it, liberal or conservative, I trust that this does mean that you would decide that it should be repeated by a person of integrity--and I am trusting that you are.
I value your comments. Thank you for adding to the discussion here. I only mean well. Peace, good sir.
