I don't post much but this was such a fun thread to read that I had to contribute.

Christmas Eve at my in-laws' house is sort of like a super bowl party. Since everyone is usually tired of holiday food we just graze all day, hang out, and watch a movie or something then watch the grandaughters open their gifts. We have wings and egg rolls, cheese dip, sausage balls, and lots of sweets. Christmas dinner with my parents is much more traditional: ham and fixins eaten off china in the formal dining room, reading the Christmas story, and then watching the grandkids open their presents.

2 years ago both our families decided that all the adults would stop buying for each other and help a cause instead. My family pools our money and gives it to anonymously to a family in need in our church. In my in-laws' family it's understood that everyone helps someone on their own...angel tree or someone in need at work, etc. So, we only had to buy 4 gifts: 1 gift each for our three nieces and 1 nephew. That's going to be under $100 total.

I'm getting gift cards for my husband's nieces: iTunes and Target (they're tweens who have everything). I'm getting playclothes for my niece and nephew because they are getting tons of toys from everyone else.

Definitely Sunday AM because I'm on to praise sing and we're having our class parties, but I don't know about Sunday PM...probably.
