Easter egg hunts are harmless. No one will get possessed of a demon or anything. There's a Judeo-Christian connection.

If there is a pagan connection, I don't know what it is. I do know that the Jews use an egg as part of the Pssover Seder plate. It represents springtime, new life. It is a shaodw of the new life brought on by the Exodus as a result of Passover

Eggs were used in the biblical observance of passover?

I've never heard of that.

Perhaps any egg usage at passover could have come from the mixture of Judaism & Babylonian idol worship that was brought out of their Babylonian captivity? (The very ones that might have caused it to be said "You're traditions make the word to no effect")

I would be very interested to see any biblical instruction they were given to make this observance. If there is none... then I would be equally interested to know where they DID get it from if not from instructions from on high.

That is one of my issues with these things... if they didn't come from the word of God... then WHERE did they come from?

I think it is a valid question and the answer is worth considering.

I prefer the chocolate coated eggs! I don't hide them though - usually just put them in the freezer and eat as needed!

Yes... which is why we have ceased the practice of flowing robes and lighting candles as the Catholics, satanists, etc do.

It's a good thing you don't hide them. We hid them one year and had a melted chocolate mess. It was a lesson learned. lol
