There have been many things here that I'm glad so many are reading - - some eyes DO need to be opened.
There are some things here that I'm ashamed that many have read, but just like we said way back on NFCF - - it's like the church fellowship hall chit chat. Some things are good, some things would be better left unsaid, but in the end we all enjoy the chili dogs and laugh and have a good time!
So you hope that AFF is a platform for change?
Nothing wrong with that.
My confession is that I post here in the hopes of being an equalizer.
I believe Daniel is one of the most intelligent men I have ever met, in any setting. I believe this because of my interaction with him on and off of this forum. I also believe Daniel has an agenda. His agenda is to hybridize Oneness and Trinitarian believers. His agenda is to minimize the necessity of water baptism in Jesus Name. His agenda is to tear down some history.
Saying all of that does not mean I do not love and respect him dearly, because I do. I just disagree vehemently with his theology and tactics.
Dan is over at CARM working his magic on the Trinitarians as we speak. Him and Bro Price.

If we are not trying to "change" others, why do we even debate?
Isn't the purpose of debate to persuade?
Look, I am not slamming Daniel, he is an unbelievable communicator. I would want him on my side in any debate. This forum would be much less fun without him.
Of course. Speech class 101.

Right, but so many are wanting to be influenced. There are just to many inconsistencies in our beliefs that people want answers.
However, I am noticing a trend among many people that I know. They want the standards preached but they don't want to follow them. They pick and choose which ones they will follow. If this continues, it won't matter what is preached, people won't care and they sure won't come to this forum searching.
I heard a minister state recently that there is a lot of "preaching" about standards in our movement but very little "teaching" that is why people are questioning.

Thanks for the back-up.
I have no problem with agendas, we all have them.
I just disagree with some of them, and think others are extremely dangerous.
I'm sure people feel the same way about my beliefs.
The current crop of posters here think I am an ultracon, which cracks me up in a big way.
yep. a lot of people have been brought up in crazy stuff and weak teaching.
bad teaching will undo sound doctrine 100% of the time.
Which is why this all comes back to your core beliefs and what is going on at your local church. If people are being grounded in the Word, and taught truth, then they should be able to have their beliefs challenged without crumbling.
The problem is that we had or have a whole segment of the oneness ministry that somehow got the idea that saying "I said so, that's why, so that settles it", was an acceptable form of pastoring. That only works as long as people are willing to keep their heads in the sand.
Some people only feel confident with people just like them...I enjoy taking with those that differ with me.
You're a better person than me sister! Some people just make me want to pull my hair out! LOL

I will make a very bold statement to those who laugh off the influence of AFF,
I believe AFF is THE most powerful voice in Oneness Pentecostalism today. It's readership far outnumbers any other publication in Oneness Pentecostalism.
I know of very, very few preachers that have never heard of it, or don't lurk.
I get asked about my posts all of the time.
Ministers from those other forums know every single topic of discussion here.
My friends, as I tell Daniel often, This is El Dorado.
Have you spoken to pastors whose saints have come on here and gone to back to them with the hard questions?
