Priscilla McGruder has not felt well for several weeks. She has been undergoing numerous tests. Today it was confirmed that she has cancer!
The tests reveal that the cancer is in her liver, ribs, shoulder and femur bone. Her chemotherapy will begin a week from Monday. She and Carroll are very strong in their faith!!! Nothing the doctors said to them today weakened their resolve! She told the doctors she has been here before! They have put their trust in God!!
Please remember this incredible lady of God in your prayers!!

Both Bro & Sisi M were at our camp meeting while she was still pretty much bald. She wore hats and I rememer Brother M joking about not starting a new sect of hat wearers. Some of the ladies at the meeting wore hats just to show their support.
One thing that stuck in my mind about Bro. M's testimony was the cost of the drugs she had to take. It was quite expensive. I pray they don't find the finances too much of a burden along with the sickness as well.
Sis. M also did a ladies retreat I attended and was wonderful.

They have ministered in many denominations, and Bro McGruder has preached at AOG Men's Conferences.
Just recently he preached and they both sang at our local Assembly of God.
He spoke openly about his "own UPC denomination" and thanked my wife and I for being bold enough to go on a television show.
The McGruders are loved by many, and they will be in prayer for this precious sister.

I sent my mom an email telling her about Sis McGruder, as she thinks so highly of her as well.
And I said Mom.. I sometimes don't understand God. Sis McGruder is such a beautiful lady, inside and out.
And my mom replied with these words...

Eternity is something we have a hard time grasping.

Today Priscilla began her chemotherapy treatments. The doctors also reported that she is in stage four of her cancer.
We know that these words are from humans and God has the final say...so we Stand On His Word!!!!!
Thank you so much for your encouraging notes and words for Priscilla! But MOST of ALL for your prayers! She is resting comfortably at home tonight...strong in her faith!
We ask you to limit your contact with them to cards and letters. I know that you respect that this is physically and emotionally an intense time.
