The elder came across as sincere. Sincerely misguided on some things, but sincere nonetheless. He seemed to have a high regard for God and His Word, albeit he was in the weeds quite a bit about eschatology.

Yeah, I remember when we first started to go at it. He was pretty coherent. But as the years went on his faculties started to fade. I guess I noticed too late. I don’t doubt he loved God. He was 100% an Apostolic Jesus namer. He believed in Jesus name baptism, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. He was with me on the name of Jesus over the Hebrew list of guess names. Now that you bring up his good points, I’m kind of sad I compared him with Don.

True. It is what you said.

and you also said in post 92:
Quote:
Notice also "ye are circumcised" (present tense reality)
Whereas Blue Letter Bible says
Quote:
'ye are circumcised', v11, is in "Verb - Aorist Passive Indicative - 2nd Person Plural" form, which indicates an action that was completed in the past, happened to a group of people, and had no connection to the present.
An action completed in the past is much different than an action in the present. Blue Letter Bible contradicts what you had said.
