Thanks jf!
The scary part is that we sometimes judge ministers the same way.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official

Typically the guy that wins is subjective and is usually dependent on whatever filter and preconceived ideas one possesses before watching a debate.

The only times we can all agree on a winner and loser are when one side appears totally unprepared. And really that is usually all that it is.

A good debater can make a bad position sounds good. A bad debater can make a good position sound bad. Debates don't tell us what position is better, they tell us how well a person can debate. They also reveal a good deal about how well a person prepares for a debate. Honestly debates are about the worst way for a person to try and convey their ideas.

You actually can't have these two statements together being contradictory.

The fact is, the moment a candidate opens their mouth, you can verify what the have said against their record and their actions.

So, even though the debates are not the desired Lincoln-Douglas style, they can be beneficial - even if and when the moderators are partisan in the asking and the ignoring.

Ted Cruz was pretty well side-lined in the two debates we have seen, but when he did get a chance to speak, he was on point with his actions and his record. That is why you don't see his campaign money drying up.

I'm amazed you would think those statements contradict each other. I can't figure where you see a contradiction. Maybe you can explain?

Senator Ted Cruz always focused and articulate.

Listen to Chuck Todd call "liars" in Congress "well respected men", but Ted Cruz is the problem here. What a joke. Chuck Todd is also a part of the problem and shows why his program is not doing well.

George W. Bush Attacks Ted Cruz. Advantage to Ted Cruz

I continue to think Sen. Ted Cruz is on trajectory to be the next President of the United States in a nomination fight against Sen. Marco Rubio and George W. Bush may have just handed the whole race to Cruz.

You can read Ted's Book, A Time for Truth, to see why GWB doesn't like him. Ted, as Solicitor General, fought and won a case protecting American sovereignty. Guess GWB didn't like that.

If any family has been in politics for personal gain, it's the Bush family.

I've regretted voting for W's second term for years. Cruz was right with his criticism of W. Dubya was a big government, more entitlement, spend spend spend RINO.

And Trump was right as well, 9/11 happened on W's watch.

I hope Cruz wins the nomination even more now.

There are a lot of candidates in the race, but he focuses on Cruz? That is Jeb's biggest threat. But, I am sure they and the Rove machine are going to get even regarding the truths Cruz brought out in his book - A Time for Truth.

Cruz, as Solicitor General, fought a couple of Supreme Court cases that went against GWB, one particularly that involved America's sovereignty - and won.
