I wouldn't say "would never do anything to end abortion". Under Bush federal funds were denied to support overseas abortions. Under GOP leadership horrible procedures like partial birth were outlawed in some areas or greatly restricted. They may not accomplish overturning Roe v. Wade, but they have in many cases and in states nibbled around the edges to save many babies lives. Very few Democrats are pro life or work for restricting abortions in any way. So by and large the GOP is friendlier to and has produced more on pro life issues than the Dems.

Christians demonize the Democrat Party over an issue that our Supreme Court has said is legal.
Legal doesn't always mean moral.
The Constitution grants Americans the right to be immoral. The Supreme Court has confirmed the right of Americans to be immoral. Why continue to make it a legal, human issue when the heart of this battle can only be changed by spiritual means?

Because JD, we as Christians are hopefully troubled by things that we see as immoral.
We as Christians, would hopefully want to make things more "moral".

Re: Romney Flips on Abortion Again
By getting involved in a worldly governing system ran by man, principalities, and powers?
We as Christians should want people to put things of the world aside and realize the true governing authority and lead by example rather than protesting and causing huge fusses/offenses and putting our thoughts and interests into the hands of men that we already know are corrupt to begin with regardless what they say they stand for or don't...
Don't get me wrong I understand that authorities are in place because they were chosen to be there by god, however Hitler, Saddam, Mussolini, Caesar, and many more hateful tyrants were put into power as well, doesn't mean we have to stoop to their level and try to play on their field. Hath not the potter power over the clay?

Making things more moral will only make it that much more difficult for people to see their need for a real Savior.
Try to go witnessing some times-- so many people are already "saved".
You hear, "I done did that a long time ago."
You hear, "I've already taken care of that."
You hear, "I gave God my heart and He understands me."
You hear, "I thank God everyday and we do have a personal relationship."
The kind of change that we really want to see in our society:
(1) Will not happen until God returns;
(2) Will NEVER be brought about by legislation without a work of God performed in the hearts of heathens who have a human government and an ALMIGHTY CREATOR whO allows them the choice to between satan and Jesus Christ.

Re: Romney Flips on Abortion Again
Moral devils will still go to hell for an eternity.
While Christians fighting personal immorality are saved by the Grace of God, through faith which lends itself to perserverance in personal righteousness and an eventual overcoming of sin-- manifested by the fact that they are fighting and have not given themselves wholly over to sin.

Re: Romney Flips on Abortion Again
There's a philosophical difference between Libertarians and partisans concerning the vote. Partisans are essentially voting "against" something. For the Democrats it's voting "against Romney". For the Republicans it's voting "against Obama". But it's different for Libertarians and Ron Paul supporters. Libertarians are voting "FOR Liberty". Imagine that the Emperor Nero were in an election against the Emeror Caligula. Let's imagine that third party that doesn't stand a chance joined the election, a man named... George Washington. The Nero-publicans would rant over how a vote for Washington would get the evil Caligula elected (like it even matters).
Some people vote parties and want a "winner". Others have chosen to vote principles. Those who vote principles often realize that a vote for the lesser of two evils... is still a vote for evil.
A vote for either Romney or Obama is a vote against Liberty. Vote "for Liberty". Vote for Ron Paul or the Libertarian candidate. It's not about winning. It's about principles. Vote your principles.

Re: Romney Flips on Abortion Again
Ron Paul who said in 2009 that he wouldn't have risked one American soldier to end the HOlocaust? That psychotic gynecologist, abandon Israel at the drop of a hat reject?

Then why outlaw murder? Why outlaw euthanasia? Why outlaw pedophilia?
The rationale here is flawed, very flawed.
Democrats by and large support abortion. Abortion in this country would not be legal if not for Democrats fighting for it to remain legal for the most part. JD you can't deny that conventional wisdom is that most Democrats are for abortion, most Republicans are against it. It is not "demonizing" them. It's calling it for what it is.

Ron Paul is no hero to me. But let's not twist his words. He says things to get people to do their own research...of which I see very few people do.
We know what we are taught in the media and in school about the holocaust. Research tells a whole different history about the holocaust...especially from a true jewish point of view. Furthermore, the Jews were not the only people who died during Hitler's evil regime. And there was no Israel during that time. How come everybody refers to the "holocaust" and ignores facts according to some estimates..up to 100 million people who died under Stalin's regime?
