Did he have an agenda? I don't know......maybe someone should ask him instead of trashing him on a public forum. JMHO.

I have not read this thread, nor do I plan to. However, I HAVE read the blog in question. Let me just say that your cousin was taken completely out of context, and perhaps even misquoted. (I haven't gone back to be sure.) Nevertheless, understand that anyone who does not have the guts to put their name on a public article, nor the integrity to keep from violating rules to which he (or she) has agreed, should not be considered a trustworthy source for anything.

Let me conclude with the remarks I posted on CAF when I learned of this blog:

While I in no way condone "character assassination," I found the last sentence of the blog to be interesting:

"Indeed, the Lord is not pleased."

Indeed. Not only is He "not pleased" with someone verbally attacking another without cause (as the author claims happened), but neither is He pleased with LIARS!!!!!!!! Whoever copied and distributed the information from this website blatantly lied when they agreed to the terms of service. They stated that they WOULD NOT "share [their] password with someone else." Furthermore, they agreed that publicly sharing a post without the author's permission was an offense which would result in a permanent ban from membership.

Of the seven things which God hates the most, TWO of them involve lying. "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren" (Proverbs 6:16-19).

So, to quote the author of the blog, "Indeed, the Lord is NOT pleased."

Truer words have never been spoken. The blog creator took GREAT artistic license with his/her material, especially under the cover of anonymity. The remarks attributed to the cousin of the man in question were skewed horribly. This person (blog creator) is interested only in manipulating people to think what he/she wants them to think.

The "cousin" in question is an honorable man who has now been slandered as badly (if not worse -- since the remarks are attributed directly to him) as the man about whom the blog was supposedly defending. I consider this "cousin" to be a friend, and ONLY my defense of a friend (or something similarly important) could make me even CONSIDER posting here again. Quite frankly, I get too disgusted with what I see on this forum, and I am simply not interested. I'm doing my best to keep a right spirit, and this forum just doesn't do much to help me in that endeavor.

It makes no difference if it is on a private or public forum, the telephone, an email or in your living room.

As the owner of the Conservative Apostolic Forum, you are personally responsible for content. Perhaps you should consider such things in the future, and act accordingly.

Your breed of conservatism is the most vicious and cruel I've seen.

Based on the statement above, all I can say is, "With friends like you, who needs enemies?"

I am not the "owner" of the forum. I simply serve on the Admin Team. I was out of state during the time that the particular thread in question ran its course and, as I've already stated, I do not condone character assassination. However, the author of the blog is JUST as guilty -- look at what he has done to the cousin of SG.

My point was NOT to condone gossip. It was to show that, although the anonymous author of blog feels justified in violating rules to which he agreed, there is no justification for lying. He lied. Plain and simple. He is also guilty of gossip by spreading this information, especially when taking it entirely out of context.

I realize that, to many of the members here, anytime a conservative can be made to look "vicious," the end justifies the means. I don't see it that way. Those who sought to destroy SG were wrong, and the individual who sought to destroy them -- as well as destroying other INNOCENT members of the forum -- was JUST AS WRONG.
