Also, if you look at his voting record, where he did not show up to vote, it was considered a procedural vote, which is a "NO" vote. His conservative colleagues, who were present for those same votes, voted "NO" as well.

Press releases? Like I said, you buy the politician's statements but ignore who he actually is. He supports TPP, for crying out loud! He's a Shrub croney for crying out loud! He's a LAWYER for crying out loud! His wife is a managing director at Goldman Sachs for crying out loud! He's not lawfully eligible to be POTUS for crying out loud! Did I mention he's a LAWYER and a POLITICIAN?
For crying out loud!
BTW, Randyboy announced he thinks "there oughtta be a law" to punish whistleblowers like Snowden.
Lying, deceiving politicians, all of them. A pox on both their houses, literally.
What you seem to be ignoring is God's Word on the subject: Deuteronomy 28 which outlines the kind of judgment God inflicts on the nation that turns away from God. Reads like the latest headlines.
No politician will save America. No party will save America. The US military won't be able to stop it, no coalitions of concerned conservatives sipping lukewarm tea will turn the tide. When God is your enemy, you either surrender or lose. PERIOD.
And yes, the enemy isn't liberals, communists, masons, Illuminati, CFR, banksters, Jews, Papists, Jesuits, democrats, RINOs, fools, good ole boy crony capitalists, anarchists, Cousin Pookie, or the scarlet Hildebeast. GOD is our nation's enemy. We have publicly and officially flipped him off and insulted him, have gone a-whoring after Baal, blasphemed his name, rejected his Word, and pointed our guns at him.
He that sits in the heavens shall laugh...
REPENTANCE is the only hope we have.

Are you forgetting that we do have a political system in place? You seem to think we can somehow ignore it. If you think we will operate with NO candidate, then stop engaging in political debate. Fear mongering isn't going to solve anything either.
"Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Mark 12:17
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. I Timothy 2:1-4
If you are going to tell me to pray, but not to vote, please don't, because it's nonsense.

I wasn't surprised that Obama won his second term. Mitt Romney started the same policies as Governor in MA before Obama made them national. It was a no-brainer.
Also, Obama, never had the negative press coverage and polling from the Left that Hillary has today. IOW, not all the Democrats are on board with her.
If she does win, then I am with you, God help us all.
On Cruz winning the nomination.... I see that John Boehner, when asked his opinion of Cruz, simply raised his middle finger. A great indication that the GOP Establishment won't be on his side. Again, the GOP Establishment ignores it's base. He has done well in and for Texas, so if he stays here, I am happy with that.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Great read!!!
Quote:
Man of the Movement
Inside the Secret Meeting Where Ted Cruz Trounced His Rivals
"This is a room of warriors. This is a room of patriots," Cruz said as he began his presentation to the Council for National Policy—a shadowy nonprofit populated by the Hill staffers, think-tankers, consultants, donors, and ideological mercenaries who call themselves "movement conservatives." They meet several times each year around the country to discuss legislative initiatives and political strategy, always in secret and always off the record.
In fact, five of the six candidates gave some version of the standard stump speech they offer the public, attendees said, ignoring what one described as "the elephant in the room, this idea that people want to coalesce behind one candidate."
The lone exception was Cruz.
"Cruz blew everyone else out of the water,"...He was savvy enough to understand what that room wanted to hear. Don't just come and give us your conservative speech. Tell us: Why should we should support you? And tell us: What's your plan to win?"

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Sen. Ted Cruz on the Hugh Hewitt Show 6/11/15
Ted Cruz tells Hugh Hewitt why he’ll be able to capture the Latino vote WITHOUT pandering. Also talks about the TPP and TPA. He hasn't decided if he will vote on it.
On TPA/TPP, Sen. Cruz said:
TPA is Trade Promotion Authority, it’s also known as fast track.
That is the process by which free trade agreements are negotiated. Historically, since FDR virtually every president has had fast track authority. What fast track provides is simply if a free trade agreement is negotiated, that Congress will vote on it up or down without amendments and history has demonstrated for the last 80 years that the only way to get free trade agreements adopted is to have fast track. That if there is no fast track, free trade agreements do not end up being negotiated.
TPA is what the Senate voted on recently. I voted in favor of fast track because I support free trade. I think free trade benefits America. It creates jobs — opening markets to our farmers, to our ranchers, to our manufacturers, improves economic growth. In Texas alone, roughly 3 million jobs depend on international trade.
And if you support free trade, the only way history has shown free trade agreements get negotiated is through fast track.
Now there is a second issue which has caused a great deal of confusion and that is TPP…it is one specific trade deal that is being negotiated. It is separate from TPA. Congress has not voted on TPP, and there’s a great deal of concern about TPP.
Now, I have not voted on TPP, and I haven’t decided if I will support it or not, because the negotiation isn’t complete, and I’m going to wait and review and see what the agreement is first before assessing if it would be beneficial or harmful.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
A Note to Conservatives on Trade Agreements
Senator Cruz entirely understands the widespread suspicion of the President. Nobody has been more vocal in pointing out the President’s lawlessness or more passionate about fighting his usurpation of congressional authority.
Senator Cruz would not and will not give President Obama one more inch of unrestricted power.
