A Demonic Attack?

Did anyone hear the sermon from our friend out west that indicated his father's heart crisis situation was the result of a demonic attack?

Are you kidding me? His arteries were clogged 50-60% probably because of years of greasy southern cooking and late night trashy food from Chilli's after church!

A demonic attack...on a powerful preacher, full of the Holy Ghost?

Talk about hype!!

Re: A Demonic Attack?

Some folks don't want to take responsibility .... good thread on this on a political scale somewhere ...

but it happens in the Church too.

Are you saying demons don't attack powerful preachers?

I am not sure about all that abstract stuff but I think sometimes to hide personal responsibility they just simply blame stuff on the debbil.

Why not just say, Brother so and so just didn't eat right or take care of himself but now he certainly will!? Does that compromise his leadership and ironclad reputation somehow? Or does it make him human and on the same plane as the hairy unwashed?

Kind of like some blame the government for all their woes.

That was my initial thought. I would have rather been told the truth instead of an attempt to get me all riled up to fight the debbil, as you say. I can rile my own self up with my own self's problems.

They do not have to attack when you weigh in at 300 lbs.

All they have to do is follow the wounded and watch them drop.
