Demonic Deliverance

After discussing this with others it was suggested to bring this question to the board.

Can a person that has demons say "the Blood of Jesus"?

I had always been taught they could not. However, after talking to two folks yesterday that has much more experience in this than I, they both basically said the same thing.

If the flesh is ruling they can, but if the demons are in control they can't. One gave the example of the man with the legion of demons was still able to get to Jesus.

Also, I would like to add this question. How do you know when you are dealing with a demon vs a human spirit? I would assume you need spiritual discernment.

Another thing one of them wisely told me. When you are dealing with deliverance you need to pray and ask God what is the root of the spirit you are dealing with. Many times you can get sidetracked by dealing with offshoots vs shaking the foundation of the problem.

Anyone have any experience in dealing with this?

What does Scripture say about this?

I seem to recall one of the Verban Bean books gave a story about a similiar situation.... VB asked the demon's name and even the event of how the person initially became possessed....

Is there a scriptural precedent for the idea that demons (speaking through a person?) cannot say the name of Jesus? Or is this kind of based on trial and error? I'm just curious...where did this idea come from? Is it kind of a test to see if a person is truly possessed?

After seeing 60 views and NO input I'm beginning to think we have an area where little understanding in this area is being taught???

Unless, some are holding back for some odd reason.

I'm not. I just have the opinion that EVERYTHING we need to know on the subject will be found in the Bible.

Of coarse that takes work.......
