Hey! I've Got A Word For You.
I apologize for the rude Hey! But I wanted to get your attention. I feel an undeniable prompting in my spirit tonight to give a word of wisdom to someone who has been praying for that word.
I Kings 18:1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.
There are plenty of people who are more than willing to go show themselves. They are the featured speaker at the latest conference. The lead singer in the choir. The chairman of the platform committee. They are part of the "in crowd" and it seems everything falls favorably their way. On the other hand you are wondering, "What's happening?" Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and now you're waiting for the other boot to drop. You ask, "Did I miss it? Did I fumble once too often? Is God ignoring me or worse yet forgotten me?" The word is, you are in fact in a very important and hallowed place. The proper answer is not to be found in the pages of the art of war or the latest book of leadership but simply in the preceding chapter of I Kings.
I Kings 17:3 Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
Until you have hidden yourself you are not ready to show yourself! Until your calling is a pouring forth of a time of solitude, a life formed in the secret place of the Most High, you will never stand on God's stage. You may live to see your own kingdom but make no mistake you will never see God's Kingdom!
Rejoice that the Creator of the Universe has decided to hide you away so that He might form you into an amazing force for His glory! It's found in the sad sighing of the breeze in the trees. It's in the mixture of moonlight and shadow that weighs heavy on your heart at midnight. It's the echoing of your own voice crying in the midst of the canyons. It's when you believe you have been forgotten, and no one sees your tears, that real character is formed, and true vision is made clear. Rejoice my friend, for Elijah was not found in a king's palace but was formed in the desert of God! Man was first formed and then filled. If you will endure the forming God will provide the filling! Someone needed an answer tonight and this is it. Oh no, you are not forgotten! You have been hidden for greater purposes than you ever dreamed. But the day of revealing is about to dawn so take heart for you will stand before the King.
Respectfully
Raven

I'm not sure who it was for. But it was beautiful. There's plenty there for all of us.

Awesome for all of us I think....we are in a valley right now, but we are not afraid, or worried...because we have been here before and I know the path to the top of the mountian is somewhere close by, am our Lord is walking with us, we are not alone.
I would add to anyone that is reading this and think nothing worse could happen....look around you....and give God the glory for all of your circumstances, for He NEVER leaves us...all we need to do it reach out and He is there!

Have you ever heard the phrase "One size fits all"? Well, this messgae is certainly thta. At some tme in our lives, this message will "fit" our circumstances. That time, for me, is now. Due to the circumstances in our lives of recent months...my wife and I sure have felt we were hidden. No, LOST is a better, more accurate, word. Abandoned. Forgotten. Those fit too. Like Job, the thing we mose greatly feared has come upon us. We've been in the wilderness, down by the brook, wondering where God is.
Has anyone noticed I've been on AFF more lately? Confession time: I've been using AFF as a diversion. Lately, I've needed that. To keep from thinking about cancer... radiation... chemo... and everything else. Yeah, I've been using AFF as a diversion. But also as a source. Looking for answers. Lookin for a Word.
Thank you. Somehow, I don't feel quite so lost. I... we don't feel so alone. Sure we know God is in control. But when you hear things like "termininal", " 6 months"...it gets hard to keep lookin' up. But the, thers that "still small voice" that comes thru a post from so unknown poster. There comes a Word that fits just right. This is such a Word. Thank you for helping me to know God has a plan. And it is good.
