Who Lost The Most On 9/28/07
THE NEW CHURCH ORDER THAT'S WHO!!!!!!!!!!!
Who gained? The leaders of the yet to be determined new UC organization. The men who tried to run for District office but could not get elected, the men who hoped for more influence in the UPC but were marginalized, the men who resisted the powers that be at HQ and have been posturing themselves for years for this moment so they would be heirs to the power vaccuum left by pulling out of the organization.
And of course the Manguns, Williams, Tenneys, Johnsons, Arnolds, Haneys and others who are now more empowered by the absence of the other voices. It will be interesting to see what the next twelve months holds for all involved.
But you gotta say poor Philips, Suber and Hutchins......especially Suber............shoulda waited a few more months. Timing is everything........................................ ........

Nah. I was really shocked that the res passed. I thought we might see some to the left moving toward the NCO, but that now seems less likely. I didn't win anything. My church will be unaffected. We barely can afford the $40 a month ad in the yellow pages!!
One day however, I WILL have a mega tv ministry--------I WILL, I WILL, I WILL!!!!!!
JUST KIDDING!

I say the moderates in the org have lost most ... they will see the mass exodus of cons and libs in the next few months ... and the financial situation of the fellowship may become dire before it becomes better.

It may require administration to pare down and become sleeker and more streamlined in their bureaucratic approaches. The UPC will survive. My biggest concern is FM and HM. Although $4 million was raised at the FM service this year in spite of the resolution passing that same day.

Deacon,
You are probably right that it will survive... I am just afraid it will be severely limited in its capacity to evangelize. What a tragic irony...
