What do you use for a Publishing program?

I've been using Microsoft Publisher to make my DVD covers. It's a long story, but now I am in the market for a publishing program. I am headed out in about 2 hours to see what I can find. I know I can get Publisher 2007. But it is very expensive. So I am open to other suggestions if anyone has a program they like as well or better.

first problem i see.... pirating DVD's is illegal....

the DVD's are those that I make for our local funeral home when someone passes away. Nothing pirated there

Thanks, BOOM, I will look at it. I have a friend who uses openoffice for everything except publishing. I just talked to him and he said he just went and bought a copy of Microsoft Publisher for his wife since she likes his so well.
