Prayer for Friend
Please pray for a friend of mine. Her son's truck exploded this morning with him in it. He was getting ready to leave for work and he backed into a big brush pile in their yard. The accident is under investigation, but they think his gas tank ruptured causing the truck to explode. They said he was pretty much toasted. His mom is a wreck, blaming herself for not having the brush pile cleaned up already.
The young man was engaged to be married but was waiting until he and his fiance finished college to get married. They are both 20 years old. I know that they all are gonna need much prayer and care right now.

Very sad Tamor. I will be praying. Also a very strange accident. I don't see how backing a truck into a brush pile could ignite the gas tank. Let us know when more is known about the cause.
I hope that mother will come to her senses and realize that she is not the cause of this terrible tragedy.

It is a strange accident. I was talking with a lady here at my office and she mentioned that maybe he hit a tree stump or something like that. If it was large enough, it might could have ruptured it.
And yes, his mom will have to realize that she is not to blame but I think we tend to grasp at things like that in the intensity of the moment.
The young man would have been at junior at MTSU this year and was a very smart student and all around good guy. Very sad situation.

I can empathyze with this woman. My father died in an accident when I was 13 years old. The morning he died he was doing something he had wanted to do the night before but I had talked him out of it since I was sick and felt bad.
I kept thinking that if only I had let my dad move that piece of heavy equipment across town the night before when he wanted to he would not have been involved in the accident that took his life.

That is so sad. And I know you probably beat yourself up over that time and again. But God knows our appointed time to die. If it hadn't been with heavy equipment, it could have been another way. Same with Jonathon. He could have wrecked pulling out into the road, but I'm sure his mom will replay this in her mind over and over thinking she could have done something to prevent it.

Tamor, I just noticed this. My prayers are with this family and especially this mom right now. Lord, comfort her.
